We might as well face the fact that this week's biggest Xbox 360 news pretty much happened yesterday and this morning, so that's what you'll be finding in the news section below. We also have new installments in our community features, so be sure to check those out. Might we specifically recommend that you check out XBLA in Brief, as it can save you from the heinous mistake of even downloading the trial version of Beat'n Groovy.
We'd like to pretend this week isn't all about Bungie's teaser for a new Halo 3 campaign expansion. We'd like to tell you this week is really about things like our look at Duke Nukem 3D for XBLA or the fact that Peter Molyneux is already conducting the hype train to his next game. We'd love to say that, but it just isn't true. We love teh Halos and we love Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, so the week belongs to Bungie. This time ....
With the industry resting on the edge of the impending holiday, news seems to be a mix of rumors and (this week, at least) unexciting Xbox Live Arcade releases. Maybe everyone figures we deserve a little downtime before the real onslaught begins. During this quiet before the storm, we offer you the latest XBLA in Brief, which covers the sheer excitement of Feeding Frenzy 2 and Domino Master. Yeah, well, Duke Nukem 3D comes out next week, so have faith, mkay? IN the meantime, check out the latest news and community features below.
Okay, for this edition of the X3F Week in Review, forget all the news. Forget the new, hilarious podcast. Forget that we have a newly revamped version of X3F mobile. Just know this: we are giving away a tiny mountain of PAX swag. Autographed Halo swag, autographed Gears of War swag, Dead Space swag, we've got it all and we're giving it away to one lucky winner. Go get it.
This week pretty much rounds out our PAX 2008 coverage. We've got interviews with The lead artist and writer behind Gears of War 2 as well as an interview with the creator of Schizoid. Let's not forget our hands-on look at Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball and a chance to win a copy of Smash Court Tennis 3. Click on.
It's time for yet another X3F Week in Review, girls and boys. It's been a Silicon Knights week here at X3F, with our own Xav de Matos spending some quality time at the company's headquarters in Ontario. We've got tons of coverage from a Silicon Knights studio tour to an interview discussing the fate of Eternal Darkness. These have been floating around Joystiq for a few days, but if you haven't already, you should definitely check them out.
Finally, there's still a chance to win Castle Crashers if you hurry!
Lots going on at X3F this week. We've got a Denis Dyack interview, a video hands-on with Galaga Legions and more. Best of all, Fanswag Weekly returns with five XBLA redemption codes for Bionic Commando Rearmed (which is awesome, by the way). Peruse the links below and feed your inner fanboy. We won't tell anyone.
It really feels like this week belongs to Xbox Live Arcade. The whole month really, considering a slew of AAA titles are on the way. This week we got Bionic Commando Rearmed, which is everything a Bionic Commando fan could hope for. If you haven't already, definitely give it a try. You can check out our latest XBLA in Brief episode to see what's new. And let's not forget that you can now start earning Fable II goodies with Fable II Pub Games, which is also featured in this week's episode.
Not a whole lot going down in Xbox 360 land this week. Oh sure, there are rumors of price cuts, but nothing really solid to latch onto. Except Braid. In short, Braid is an absolutely brilliant game. You should go buy it. Seriously. We'll wait. It is short, sweet and wonderful. Anyway, check out the latest that Xbox 360 Fanboy has to offer below. Oh, and enjoy the fan made Viva Piñata video inspired by the Halo 3 "Believe" ad campaign.
Well looky here! The X3F Week in Review is back! We've finally put E3 to bed, and things are finally starting to return to normal. Our regular community features like Ask X3F, XBLA in Brief, and Community Content should be making their way back soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime, soak up our latest Fancast and some of this week's more interesting news items.
We'll admit it, with all the E3 planning going on, the minds at Xbox 360 Fanboy are a little frazzled. So, we'll make this Week in Review simple. That's the official X3F sticker up there. We'll be taking a truckload of 'em to E3. Very soon, you'll see pictures of Cliff Bleszinski, Peter Molyneux, Denis Dyack, and all the other relevant 360 designers wearing our stickers and promoting our website ... whether they want to or not. As long as we can slap a sticker on someone and snap a picture before we get arrested, we figure it's fair game.
If we have any stickers left afterward, maybe we'll give 'em away at the Joystiq reader meetup.
Well kids, it seems like everyone is holding their cards close to their collective chests as we begin the final run up to E3. That doesn't mean we don't have a few interesting news bits to share though. For one, the Xbox 360 Mega Man 9 evidence continues to pile up, despite Capcom's claims to the contrary. Gears of War 2 news also continues to dribble out, and we're more than happy to relate it to you. Find these stories and more below.
Another busy week at X3F. We've got a new XBLA in Brief (try Ticket to Ride, seriously), new Points>Life and new ... news. We've got everything. Gears of War 2, Halo Wars, Fable 2, you name it. We also got a chance to check out Deer Hunter Tournament and Smash Court Tennis 3. Browse the links below and slake your Xbox 360 thirst. That's right, slake it.
Believe it or not, the massive Intellisponse leak wasn't the only thing that happened in Xbox 360 this week. True, it was probably the most interesting and the other stories kind of pale in comparison but ... um ... you know we're not really sure where we're going with this. Just check out the links below to see what else we covered this week, mmkay?
After last week's video extravaganza, we return the Week in Review back to its normal, news-laden self. While there is plenty of worthwhile news contained in the links below, we implore you to watch the latest edition of XBLA in Brief. In short, Frogger 2 is one of the worst games (if not the worst) on the Xbox Live Arcade service. Watch the video, and be thankful that it will spare you the trouble (and immense pain) of actually downloading and playing the trial version.
