"We're trying to get it out as soon as possible, because we know it's important to people" Paladin explained, saying that the main issue with Castle Crashers' online component is due to players' conflicting network conditions. But Paladin made it clear that they did all they could to work out potential network issues prior to launch saying that network problems "was something that never came up in testing." So, when will we see patch goodness? As soon as humanly possible, though truthfully, Fulp admitted that there "isn't any official time frame yet."
Check out the complete The Behemoth interview over at Joystiq to learn more about the Castle Crashers development process, how pricing XBLA games really works and learn a super secret strategy for unlocking a few new in-game characters.

I recovered my tag at a friend's house so we could play CC and my saves were no where to be found.
When I recovered again at my house, nope no saves.
Can anyone confirm wether or not this is just an isolated case?

This happens to a lot of people. Definitely a bigger problem than the network issues. Because people think that they have lost their whole save file, but have faith because it is actually there, just hidden. DO NOT start a new game with the character you had leveled up or your stats reset for him.
1. Go to Xbox Live game
2. Select the default CC adventure mode
3. Select "Create Match"
4. Scroll down and confirm to Create the Match
5. Toggle Ready
6. Back all the way out to the main menu
Then all your stuff is back. Takes about 10 seconds or less when you know what to do. I personally have to do it every time I load up the game. I guess for some people it only happens sometimes and others never.

what happens is, your save file is attached to your gamertag, because I noticed when I got CC the amount of MB my gamertag took up increased, so I put it on my Memory Card (only way u can play at a friends, it's so worth it though) turns out at my friends house I had all the characters and levels I had on my console, so if you can, tell that to as many people as u cAn ;)

In other words...MS Certification process == FAIL.
Seriously, how many arcade games have we seen now with network issues? How is it that the MS certification process does not yet address network inconsistencies? There is something seriously broken in their process.

The certification process is not a replacement for QA testing. Please don't confuse the two.

I called it. It's Alien Hominid all over again. We'll see a patch in about half a year, when nobody is even interested in playing Castle Crashers anymore.

Y'know, I've played the game online a number of times and I've never had issues at all with anything. After I beat the game I joined two other friends that helped me find the rest of the animal orbs. The arenas are only ten waves long and you can unlock new characters. I've got about 4 so far unlocked.
By the way, the end of the game reminds me of Katamari Damacy's opening screens. A super WTF moment awaits..

***SAVES PROBLEM FIX***
I suffered from this for ages, but found an easy work around,
On the title screen (sigle player game, achievements ect.) just sign out your profile then sign back in.
Easy as pie :)

Playing online is nigh on impossible for me. I've once managed to play through a level before getting kicked out.
It's a shame, because local 2-player with the wife is a hoot. I can only imagine that 4 player co-op is the bombinest.

4 players is actually a little too chaotic for me, it's very hard to tell what's going on and I kept losing track of where my guy was. I think 2 players is actually pretty optimal.

Go to the xbox.com website. They finally made a fix for the license transfer and it only takes about 5 mins to have your old license from your last xbox transferred. That's why you're only allowed to play your arcade games online full version.

Good thing this spent months and months in testing internally and then at MS. Glad to see that all of the testing paid off. Oh that's right, this game was released and within a day a vast majority of people were immediately effected by a bug. I don't get it...who is doing this testing?

There are some things you really can't test until the game is released.

I really wanted to get this game, but with these issues i think ill wait. Online doesnt bother me as much as me being worried about losing my saves. Though online would be nice too.

I haven't lost my save and I play online all the time, if that's the only thing worrying you I'd say go ahead and get it.

There needs to be some facility for development shops to test "in the wild" with limited betas, because I'm honestly really sick of Arcade games that have a broken Live experience.
I held off on buying CC specifically to hear if the Live experience was good, and I'm glad I did. Last thing I want is my group of friends blaming me for encouraging a purchase that is more frustration than fun.
I'll keep an eye out for when they fix this, but until then I'll hold off, thanks.
