European 360 Fanboys, now is your time to gloat. You can now officially download the Rainbow Six: Vegas demo off of Xbox Live Marketplace. Meanwhile, we unlucky American 360 Fanboys will have to sit and wait for Ubisoft to release one here. This may mark the first time Euopeans get content first. In other news, pigs have grown wings and have become quite successful in their aeronautical endeavors (good for them). So, Euro-fanboys, does it take the sting off of the wait for Dead Rising at all?

Keep in mind, gamers in the US can find the R6: Vegas demo in the newest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine.

More problems a la MK & SC:DA Demo. Wish they hadn't bothered with the 'maintenance' and 'upgrades.'

I never really thought about the poor souls across the "bloody-pond" (as they put it) having to wait for video games. I know realize what you must deal with and apologize from the bottom of my heart.
Can't we all just receive content at the same time and live in happy peaceful world??
Bloody Microsoft.

You know you could just do what i do, have an xbl silver account for UK and Japan, and DL the demo on that.

We don't often wait that much longer. Usually it's just a week now. Seems like the playing field is levelling off now (or up, as the case may be). Har Har Har.

For godssake, don't be noobs...
Just create a new profile on your 360 using a London adress (get a hotel one i.e.) and setting your location as England and you gonna download the demo TODAY.
By the way, it's single player only and graphics are below expectations. Graphics are inferior to GRAW on single player demo. I hope de final version sports enhanced graphics.
Good news is that gameplay is the good old RS3 from Xbox with improvements.
If MP captures all aspects of gameplay of SP, we're about the watch the rebirth of rainbow six on xbox live.
After the ABSURD piece of stinking TURD that RS LockDown (or LetDown or LagDown as some may prefer to call it) this is EXTREMELLY good news for Xbox RS fans.

I for one would LOVE to play this game, seeing as i'm a UK dweller, and i'm signed into live on my 360...however, i have one slight problem, the demo is not up on marketplace...in any of the sections (i checked 'em). What's going on, is it just my 360??

For #10, make sure the live profile you're trying to use to download the demo was CREATED with an european address (England, i.e.) and with the appropriate zip code for the european address created. Also make sure the option for country was the same country as the european address entered (England in our example here).
If you live in englando but created a live profile with an american address or not stating you were in England BEFORE creating the profile will not work.
The zip code is a big trick here.

But is it region locked? I'm not above paying $7 to get the demo, but I'd really not like to if I don't have to.

I've got to say that this is actually the first place where people don't really whine about not getting the demo on the Marketplace (people = US gamers). It's quite amazing to see US gamers go all "WTF?" about one freaking demo when they usually (not always) get everything before us EU gamers. For God sake people... deal with it!
Once again, first place where that whining hasn't occured yet. Proud of you guys!
As far as the demo goes, I have no idea how it is... downloading it now. Hope it plays good though!

@13; yeah I assumed there would be a lot of American kids screaming "WTF!!!" but was pleasantly surprised.
To be honest, I personally don't mind waiting for games to arrive over here in the UK; it gives us a sort of 'buffer period' in which we can find all the reviews, problems, etc. of a particular game. For example, it's good to know I can find reviews on IGN, Gamespot, etc. before I have a chance to blow my £40.
Although saying that, in the case of well-received games such as Dead Rising, the wait can be unbearable. :(

Chromehounds had a demo prior to launch that was only available to the UK (via the XBOX LIVE MARKETPLACE) so this is nothing new to XBOX LIVE.
We do get priority here in the US with most media - be it games, movies, music or published. Nothing wrong with expecting what is typical and being a little frustrated.
I personally subscribe to OXM and have played the demo on disc 64. I was impressed - the new cover system is seamless with the gameplay - frame rate is smooth - graphics and lighting is spot on and not to compare them, but the gameplay feels a lot faster than GR:AW. It's nice to have some helpful and effective A.I. teamates for once as well! The demo includes 2 difficulty settings (standard and realistic). Prepare to "load last checkpoint" frequently while playing the realistic setting.
enjoy!

Create a UK silver account download it, then switch back to your Canadian or American or Mexican etc. account and play it. You dont have to stay logged in to the silver one.
I have to say, its the best modern fps I've played as far as gameplay. It hits every nail right on the head. Its like sex-in-a-bottle.
