So, perhaps you've heard, but Xbox Live turned five last week. In celebration of this fact, Microsoft sent us a little gift, an Xbox 360 wireless controller with a nice orange finish and the words "Live Turns Five" emblazoned upon us. Nice folk that we are, we've decided to give this sucker away. But wait, there's more. Along with the controller, we received a little pamphlet detailing some of the criticisms faced by Xbox Live before it launched. Microsoft took something of a risk with Xbox Live, and it has paid off. In short, Microsoft wanted us to believe in Xbox Live, and believers we have become.
As a symbolic addition to the limited edition controller, we're also tacking on a few games that Microsoft really wanted us to believe in. Those games are: Tenchu Z, Vampire Rain, Project Sylpheed, Fuzion Frenzy 2 and Crackdown. Hey, one outta five ain't bad, right? Yes, they're not the best games in the world (minus the incredible Crackdown, of course), but think of them as free achievements. Hell, to sweeten the deal, we'll even toss in 1600 MS Points. Sound good? Follow these simple instructions to enter:
- Xbox Live is five years old. Leave a comment on this post telling us about your best Live moments so far. You can leave one comment per calendar day (Eastern Time).
- Be sure you only leave one comment per day. Posters of multiple comments during the same day will be disqualified. We'll accept entries until Friday, November 23 12:00pm Noon, Eastern Time. You must be at least 18 years old to enter. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only
- On Friday, we'll pick one winner via a random drawing
- One winner will receive a limited edition Live Turns Five wireless Xbox 360 controller, one copy each of Tenchu Z, Vampire Rain, Project Sylpheed, Fuzion Frenzy 2, and Crackdown, and one 1600 point MS Point card, worth about $230 in all.

My favorite moment so far on live has been a couple of days after I signed up for Live back in 2003, and playing Unreal Tournament against people. Won the game, and haven't looked back since.

Best Live moment so far... none yet. I'm going to join the Live party for the first time this week when I buy my Xbox 360. What a better way to enjoy it than with winning this prize.

I was once a PC gamer and shouted its multiplayer paises from the hillside. Then the console with multiplayer capability came and I didnt have to search for servers, I didnt have to worry about haxors (very much anway). XBL ftw!

My favorite Xbox Live moment has to be the first time I completely owned somebody in Puzzle Fighter. It was the first time that I saw somebody leave a lobby as soon as they saw my gamertag because they knew I was going to destroy them.

One of my favorite "LIVE" moments was playing TMNT 1989 Arcade - three of us were "older" players (those who remembered the original), and one player was something like 11 years old. The youngest player kept making what I assume were "Karate" noises in the mic, and at one point said "Yeah, I'm the red guy!" The three players who grew up with the Ninja Turtles all stopped and said "Did he just say 'I'm the Red Guy'? THEY HAVE NAMES!"
We promptly stopped protecting the 4th player and let him die.
