Box Art unveiled from The Darkness

Posted Apr 30th 2007 5:00PM by David Dreger

DAKing~~420~~240 got his grubby paws on the box art for The Darkness, which looks mighty fine, albeit slightly on the small side. None the less, we love the art direction on the cover, from the golden glow from all the eyes and logo, the muted palette with the bluish-black overtone.

All in all it looks very sexy, and we can't wait to get our hands on this game in just shy of two months. That, and we can't post about The Darkness without mentioning how badass Mike Patton is, as the voice of the title character. Will you be brandishing this on your gaming shelf or does the spiritual successor to Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay not interest you?

2. Mike Patton is god! He's the icing on this (HOPEFULLY) good game, really looking forward to it.

3. Seriously? A game where you can kill someone with a jackhammer, summon a darkling to eat enemy heads, and do all sorts of other nasty, dark things is not going to be good. I mean, who wants all that senseless blood and gore. And the mafia genre? So overdone...

If you can't sens my sarcasm, you're dead to me... this game is going to fucking awesome!

4. Everybody get a good look at the game that will change my life. See it? Ive been waiting to play that god damn game for almost a year.

5. Uh, this box art was released on the official Darkness MySpace about... oh, over a month ago.
