Last year the Xbox 360 was flying off of shelves left and right, none to be found until after the holidays. Heck, this year the Nintendo Wii is impossible to find. But what about our beloved Playstation 3? According to game industry the PS3's demand has already dwindled as there are PS3s in stock, on store shelves, and waiting to be purchased. By no means are we saying that you can go into any retailer and pick up a Playstation 3. Instead we're saying that Playstations are in stock for a longer period of time, eBay prices have gone so low it doesn't pay to put them up, and few consumers are willing to purchase overpriced bundle packages. We're not mud slinging, just looking at the facts (remember, the Wii is doing great in sales, we admit it!). So, do you know anyone who is interested in purchasing a PS3 this Christmas, how much they are willing to pay, and what they are most looking forward to with the console? Enlighten us and we'll pass on your suggestions or comments directly to Sony ... right.

7. Umm. The last time I checked this is xbox360fanboy, not Joystiq. So why not enjoy a little anti-sony news, since I'm sure PS3 fanboys would enjoy if the shoe was on the other foot. Oh wait, it has with the PS2 and they did this same kind of thing and still do to this day. The PS2 still enjoys great sales, so I think Sony knows this is happening but also know that it's more of a long haul then short sprint for the success of the PS3. Either way, you can't deny the facts this article presents. The same time last year the 360 was still fetching double it's price on Ebay and were impossible to find anywhere. I was at an EBGames today and there were 3 PS3's sitting on the shelf, but everyone was asking about a Wii.

8. Haha Xavier, repeating "grow the fuck up" makes you sound so mature and macho. I'm sure simply saying "grow up" would not do the job.
I'm willing to pay free for a PS3, and that's after I pay free for a Wii. I want to play some games online, maybe Resistance, Lair looks to be cool, and I don't know what else for now.

9. With 8 games or so, the ps3 isn't exactly a great console right now, game production is slower too because of the architecture, its much harder for developers, I might get one begining of 07 summer or end if i save up enough money but right now its not so appealing, blu ray doesn't matter too much, a couple of the games are great but the online infrastructure is probably empty and thats what i play most often, the campaign just cant beat xbox live

12. The average ps2 users that I know will not or can not pay $600 for a console. Close to a thousand after a few controllers and games.Sony has priced itself out of it's target market.

I suggest getting over yourself. Sony's success or lack-there-of DIRECTLY affects the Xbox 360's future. Unknown to the other-console blind, the Xbox 360 is still standing in the shadow of the Playstation 2. This tidbit shows a passing victory for the 360 making it none-other than 360 news.
Saying PS3 news doesn't relate to 360 news is akin to wearing a blinking neon sign above your head that says, "King of Naivite."
I'm saying this, even though I'm really upset with Microsoft's shallow warranty service.

19. I work at a retail store(won't disclose where) but we had very few in stock then they sold then were out of stock for a while,then got some more,then they were gone again.
The thing Ive noticed,people that had came in for PS3's ended up buying XBox 360's.
Wii's haven't been in stock for a while,atleast at our store.Not sure about our other locations

20. I just wanted to say that I think Dustin's doing a great job and that this blog wouldn't be nearly as good without his contributions. Also, as others have said, PS3 news is directly related to the Xbox 360. I actually really like hearing about how the PS3 is doing. I didn't even know that it's easier to find than the Wii.
