The hours keep ticking by and the promised Project 8 demo is still a no show. Plenty of companies have gotten into hot water (here's looking at you 3D Realms) for missing promised demos, but this one had its own press release and everything. We would have figured that all the certification and whatnot was already taken care of, especially if someone authorized a press release. Still, there are many hours left in the day. Keep the faith, fanboys.

You think we got our leg pulled here? Seems nobody else is reporting a Tony Hawk demo on XBL today.

Nope, it was an honest to god press release from the publisher's PR firm. I'm surprised you haven't seen it anywhere else. A quick google got me the news from TeamXbox, too.
It's not like this hasn't happened before.

Yeah, this blows, but it gave me the chance to clear my demo backlog. I got so far behind on downloaded but unplayed demos...

I was expecting to play this demo today, and surprised it wasn't on Live Marketplace. Apparently Activision hit a snag or possibly even got the timing wrong on the press release. Either way, they made a mistake and now they have a ton of upset people that were eagerly awaiting to play this demo.

the chimps working at microsoft accidently released mortal kombat 3 for live arcade when they meant to release the tony hawk demo. Now they need to spend a bunch of time to correct things internally (like scould the monkeys and take away their bananas).
Then the THPS 8 demo will come.

Well, its apparent that they pulled both of them from the Live server. There's a ad for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 but it doesn't have any downloads and I DIDN'T find Tony Hawk Project 8 in All Downloads like Saocom did. I wonder what the heck is going on.

I got the demo, only took me about 10 minutes to download. I havent played a tony hawk game in a couple years and I keep falling all the time. I cant even come close to landing one of those "nail the trick" moves.

lol, after finding the tutorial it is easy to land the nail the trick stuff. Game plays just like any other tony hawk I remember, I just wish the 360 dpad was better.
