Pink and Blue controllers available for purchase

Love 'em or hate 'em, two brand new Xbox 360 wireless controllers are available at retail starting today allowing gamers to express themselves in two brand new colors. The new (dark) Blue and Pink controllers retail for the standard $49.99 wireless controller price and also make the perfect "It's a Boy" or "It's a Girl" baby shower gift. Because nothing says congratulations on having a new kid than an Xbox 360 controller themed after a centuries old color coded stereotype.

By the time the kid is old enough to play M rated games, the Xbox 1080 will be out.

Pastels FTW!

but on a serious note... they should have sold that army green halo controller bundled with the halo 3 360 seperate, instead of those ugly ass graphic ones... or these.

Pink and Blue controllers? There is like what 1 xbox 360 game geared towards young kids? I'd really like to see some games that are fun for the family or at least fun for the wife to play. No wonder so many xbox also buy a Wii.

Hmmm does anyone else think Microsoft should donate some bucks from each pink controller sold to fighting breast cancer?

I vote for a separately-sold army green model to match the controller included with the Halo 3 edition console.

@ TORO - "Men Should Act Like Men"

+1

@ Xeno - Yea...so did I.

I like my black and white. I've been using my black one exclusively for Halo 3.

As for the other 2 that commented on the Halo green one...I would SO buy that one too if it came seperate... :D

lol @ bloggers comment. Definately a little shady..I think I'll stay far away. I agree with purple and maybe even a psychedelic pattern (or dark blue/green/clear/anything else). I can imagine what everyone in the microsoft board room was thinking: This will cater to our toddlers/girls and their moms and dads are more likely to buy the cute pink one for samantha and the baby blue for bobby. Well, it's a stupid idea, but if I went to a little kids house and they had a 360, I wouldn't doubt I would see one of these controllers. As for me, I'll go for something a little less fruity.

Spartan Green FTW. I'd buy one for sure. I'd get a blue to complete my collection and a pink one if I buy a 2nd xbox for my sister's house.

Funny. Everybody's complaining about this? My fiance ordered me to buy her a pink controller. If you're buying a pink controller for your girl, you're a happy man.

Since when did color = gay? Are you dorks so hetero-insecure that you can't appreciate a pink game controller? Video games are gay anyway. Video game blogs are uber-gay. Commenting on video game blogs makes you a pre-op transsexual as far as I'm concerned. You're all supposed to be growing up and driving cars and buying real estate. Instead you're debating which joystick thing is less homo. How unmanly is that? Your dads should beat you all up.
