Rumors have a nasty way of cropping up on the internet... and not dying. This is one of them.
This pretty piece of work surfaced as a possible title screen for Halo 3. It was discussed without end among forum goers and Xbox 360 fans. But apparently it was just a sham. There's been a "Bungie Update" calling this one out as nothing but a faked image. Sure, it's convincing, but most pranks are. Keep your eyes peeled, this probably won't be the last of 'em.

I like fake screens like this its cool although they would not have "Y" as the friends as that is what the guide button is for. Also it trys too hard the Halo 3 menu will be similar the the first two in that it will have a simple centred menu and in the background it will be panning around something

Classic mode isnt anything because the guy who shopped the picture made it up from the top of his head.

I hope no more of these come out because it will cause bungie to not want to put out real info on the game which will make the wait more painful.

It's called Evox or UnleashX homebrew Dashboards and PhotoShop. Nice try though.

Guess the author of this fake doesn't have a 360 to know about the fun little tricks the guide button hides. Nice try though.

To #1
COD2 on the Xbox 360 has Y for friends list, and I wouldn't be surprised if Halo 3 doesn't have a custom friends list too. Actually, i'm pretty sure they will, because the friends list in Halo 2 was so good, better than the guide button friends list. You could see the clan, friends and players, and peoples Logos/Avatar things, you can't do all that in the guide button friends list.

Catastrphic, you said exactly what I was going to say.
I hope they keep the 'y' button for friends. Its much quicker for invites and messages and clans

I think a shortcut to my friends list would be great. One less step to get to my friends. Then you won't have to press the guide AND go and select friends.
