If you're looking for new Halo 3 information, then this week's Bungie Weekly Update isn't for you because Frankie is still missing in action and isn't doing his job. Though, if you're looking for a new way to earn Recon armor AND a way to mock Frankie publicly, then this week's Bungie Weekly Update IS for you.
Bungie is holding a contest where they're challenging expert (and not so expert) Photoshoppers to take some old Frankie photos (ones where he actually has hair) and mess with him. The three categories for entry include Best Use of Frank's Image via an Existing Internet Meme, Best Utilization of Frank's Image in a Motivational Poster and Best Use of Frank's Image Inspired by a Major Motion Picture and the winner from each category will walk away with Recon. Fire up Photoshop, there's Recon to earn ...

As is beginning to be customary everyweekend, Bungie recently made available a new double experience point weekend playlist that will make sniper fans giddy with headshot happiness.
The new (and weekend limited) Halo 3Team Snipers double EXP matchmaking playlist is live right now, will end sometime during the early morning hours this Monday and requires both the Heroic and Legendary Map packs. Secondary requirements for enjoying Team Snipers is a steady hand, a talent for shooting people's heads and we're sure a previous preference for the sniper rifle would help too. Have fun, rack up the EXP and earn that General Grade 3 already.
This is your final reminder where we tell you that you have less than an hour to enter this week's Fanswag Weekly which wraps up today at 12:00 noon eastern. And we highly advise entering this giveaway, because there's a sweet McFarlane Halo 3 Brute Chopper up for grabs and who'd be crazy enough to deny a chance at winning that? To enter, simply comment on the original post, confirm said comment and hope that you're randomly selected to win. Fanswag Weekly, it's guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
It's that time again, Fanswag Weekly time, where we're continuing the McFarlane Halo 3 giveaway madness thanks to the kind folks over at installation 05. But first we have to announce that grigdog was last week's lucky winner who claims to have strung together 18 kills using a Ghost. We aren't sure we believe you grigdog, but you can still keep your prize. Now, onto this week's giveaway.
This week we're giving away a beautiful and oh so deadly McFarlane Halo 3 Brute Chopper in all its glory. True, the Chopper is known to be a difficult vehicle to maneuver, but you won't have to worry about that seeing that driving this McFarlane version would be nearly impossible. Unless you're three inches tall, then we say good luck to you. So how do you win? Just follow the directions below ...
To enter, all we want to know is how you would display the Brute Chopper if you were to win the giveaway. Would you place it on your desk, place it on your car's dash or would you carry it in your back pocket every single day of your existence? Comment on this post telling us how you'd proudly display the Chopper if you won.

The latest Bungie weekly update may not be packed to the brim with exciting things like upcoming playlists or talk of yet more new maps, but there are definitely some tasty morsels for Halo fans out there. First and foremost is a collection of some of the funniest Halo 3 screenshots out there. We're particularly enamored of the one above. We have dubbed it "Cojones" for reasons that we don't care to elucidate. Secondly, the update enumerates a few of the more interesting statistics about Halo 3. Our favorite is the number of people who have completed the Legendary campaign with every skull turned on. How many people have done this? Two. We can't figure out if those two people are insanely good or insanely patient. Either way, they're insane. Finally, the update points gamers to Ascendant Justice, a blog that has posted a threepartseries exploring the story revealed in Halo 3's terminals. Fans of the series should definitely read it. Hit the "read" link to explore the entire update.
Honestly, who doesn't like a good A-Team parody? That's right, no one, because everyone likes TheA-Team (and Mr T, of course). We've seen a Gears of WarA-Team parody before and, frankly, we're surprised it took this long for a Halo 3 version to come across our proverbial desk. Created by the folks at No Scope Comics, the video poses the Master Chief, the Arbiter, and the other two Elites from Halo 3's co-op campaign as the whole gang from The A-Team. It's a surprisingly accurate take on the original intro actually. Enjoy.
Today is yet another lazy Sunday, so we find no better time than now to visit the pile of random Halo 3 videos to bring you yet another video gem.
We have here one of the most complicated Halo 3 kill steals we've ever seen, complete with sniper action, fusion core explosions, a splatter and a missed melee. It's best to just watch the video to get the full kill stealing experience, but the gist of it is that a player snipes one of the other team's Spartans, then that same bullet hits a fusion core, which explodes next to another player who (by chance) is milliseconds away from being assassinated but gets knocked into the wall giving the sniper player a splatter kill. It's random and totally delicious! These videos also make us want to plead with EVERY game developer to incorporate some kind of record functionality in their games. Moments like this are too priceless to waste.
Update: Sorry kids, entry into this week's giveaway is now closed. But fear not, because more Fanswag goodies are coming next week.
Hurry up fanboys, begin commenting! Entry into this week's Fanswag giveaway wraps up in less than an hour (at 12:00 noon eastern) and that means this is your last chance to enter. And we think entering is a good decision, because there's a McFarlane Halo 3 Ghost up for grabs. To enter, quickly head over to the original entry page, make a comment and ... well, that's about it. Also, be sure to keep those fingers crossed!
It's time once again for another 100% Bungie approved and X3F certified Halo 3 Double EXP Weekend! This Double EXP Weekend, we get to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a new Legendary Map Pack required, ten person, social, free for all, Fiesta gametype playlist called "Cinco de Mayo". How appropriate, right? For those who aren't familiar with Fiesta, it's pretty much Slayer but every time you spawn you're given a random weapon or two. Kinda like a drunken, super violent fiesta ... get it? Also, since it is May, Bungie rolled out all the new Halo 3 playlist changes including the addition of a full-time (and ranked) Team SWAT as well as making Social Slayer a 4v4 playlist. Check out the matchmaking updates, go play Fiesta and celebrate Cinco de Mayo the Bungie way.
Seeing that there really isn't anything better to do today, we think you should enter this week's Fanswag giveaway where we're putting a McFarlane Halo 3 Ghost up for grabs. Remember, you can enter each and every day the giveaway is live, which means today and tomorrow you can increase your winning odds by commenting on the original post. Enough reading, start entering and begin hoping. Oh, and big thanks to the folks over at installation 05 for donating the Halo goods.
For the next few weeks, Fanswag Weekly will be super duper special. So special that we can guarantee all Halo 3 fanboys and toy enthusiasts alike will have the uncontrollable desire to smile for weeks on end. Oh yeah, it's that good.
Thanks to the generosity of the folks over at installation 05, we're giving away three McFarlane Halo 3 Series 1 vehicles over the next few weeks, including a Warthog, a Brute Chopper and a Ghost. Today, we're kicking off the giveaway fun by offering up everyone's favorite purple vehicle of death, a Ghost, which comes complete with a crazy amount of "sexy" and "cool". Only one lucky fanboy can win this purple death machine, so we advise entering the giveaway stat! How do you enter? Simple. Just follow the directions below ...

Tired of the same old, little and oh so common Halo 3 McFarlane action figures that are currently at retailers? Not looking forward to the second or third series because they just don't live up to the scale or collectibility you yearn for? Well then, good news for you, because McFarlane understands your prima donna needs.
Releasing this November will be a set of three non-articulated, six inch Legendary Halo 3 figures including a Flood swarmed Master Chief, a rock balancing Arbiter and an angry Brute Chieftan. All of which should fill your inner collector emptiness. Now for those who like to play with their figures, but want to go BIGGER, McFarlane also has you covered with their twelve inch series. Available this September with eighteen points of articulation, twenty-six moving parts and coming in at a full twelve inches tall are a green Master Chief and a Wal-mart exclusive Blue Spartan. They are twelve inches of pure awesomeness. And, as always, you can view photos of all three Legendary figures and the twelve inch tall Spartans in our ever-bloating gallery below. We wuv toyz!

Friday has finally come and with it brings another special (and very popular) Halo 3 double EXP weekend! This weekend's double EXP matchmaking playlist is one of our favorites, old school Team SWAT complete with Battle Rifle shots to the face that require cat-like reflexes to pull off. Did we mention the Team SWAT double EXP playlist is already available? Well, it is and wraps up sometime early Monday morning, so get to it! Also worth mentioning is the fact that this will be the last time we see Team SWAT as a double EXP playlist because, starting May 1st, it'll be graduating to a Halo 3standard ranked (and DLC required) playlist. Now get to EXP earnin' ya'll!
We're certain that Master Chief has to check his email every now and then (Spartans have to keep connected too), and we expect Master Chief would use a keyboard that looks similar to the one pictured above. It matches his manly armor.
The Halo 3 Xbox 360 inspired custom keyboard (and 360 controller) shown above is the creation of Kroden who put his artistic skills to good use. It's very green, military-like and ... uh, green? We know Master Chief would be proud of Kroden's work, but we still think the CTRL, ALT and DEL buttons should have been painted red. Just saying.
