Despite previous reports that the
Two Worlds project entitled
The Temptation would be an expansion to the original game, it turns out that it will actually serve as a full sequel to
Two Worlds. According to the press release, the game will feature a new game engine with "visuals that have to be seen to be believed" alongside "more intricate missions," better voice-overs and animation (oh thank God), improved horseback riding, and "completely revamped combat." The press release included a handful of
screenshots that are definitely a step above the original, though we're waiting to see the game in motion before we make any judgments. It seems Reality Pump is aware of gamer's disappointment with the original, as chief developer Miroslaw Dymek notes, "We've taken to heart all the comments made by gamers about
Two Worlds and we're going to give them what they want with the sequel." We'll find out if
Two Worlds: The Temptation delivers when it releases this fall.

After its announcement late last month, the first of two new downloadable content packs for
Two Worlds has been released. Entitled "Tainted Blood" the new DLC offers 4 new multiplayer maps and over 35 new quests that can be accomplished with friends. The DLC also includes a new PVP multiplayer mode in which players "battle to control magical orbs within a variety of arenas." All in all, according to the press release, Tainted Blood should add 10 hours of gameplay to
Two Worlds. Should you desire Tainted Blood (
and who doesn't?), it will run you 600 Microsoft Points. We've received a handful of new screens of the DLC, which you can peep in the gallery below. Remember, there is still another batch of DLC
planned for April as well as a full expansion called
Temptation set to arrive sometime this year. We're reminding you so that you won't forget to not download those either.

Earlier this morning,
SouthPeak Games announced that it's bringing
X-Blades, a third person anime hack and slash, to the Xbox 360 later this year. And from the press release (viewable after the break) it sounds like
X-Blades is some sort of anime gone wild, death and destruction fest of magical enchanted'ness. That's the best way we can describe it. Analyze the press release and analyze the "blade-swinging bombshell" Ayumi in the three
screenshots below. Anyone feeling the
X-Blades?

Update: That was quick. We just confirmed with SouthPeak that this new DLC content has nothing to do with the
Temptation expansion. They are different in their own unique ways.
SouthPeak just announced two new downloadable content expansions for their mediocre RPG
Two Worlds and we're sure the handful of fanboys who own the game are uber excited. The two DLC packs will be released one month apart, one hitting the XBLM in March while the other arrives in April, both for 600 Microsoft points. Each DLC pack will add new multiplayer maps, co-op missions, new weapons and player versus player challenges to the unfamiliar world of Antaloor. We're also not certain if this newly announced DLC is the content that was planned for the
Two Worlds: Temptation expansion or if it's something entirely different. We'll get in touch with SouthPeak for a little clarification, but until then, feel free to browse through the new DLC screenshots in the
gallery below.

SouthPeak Games just revealed that they will be taking their first adventure into the murky development bogs of the Xbox Live Arcade with the announcement of
Roogoo.
We'd love to kick off the
Roogoo talk with us gushing about the game's art style, but we guess we should explain what exactly
Roogoo is. Simply put, it's a puzzle game where players try to help settle the battle over planet "Roo" by rotating floating discs (which look a lot like those rolling shape baby toys) so that the falling shapes can land on the planet below. Simple enough. Now, since that's out of the way, allow us to gush over the game's art style. It's delicious! So friendly, so welcoming, so ... overly fun! We dare say yum'alicious times four! SouthPeak also mentioned that a
Roogoo XBLA release will be happening sometime this April when they promise to bring the colorful falling shapes and the happy too.

Developer Load Inc. and publisher SouthPeak announced today that they're jumpin' back into the XBLA ring for another go with this Summer's release of
Things on Wheels. An RC racer that takes your racing adventures through the house and into the toilet. Sound like
Mad Tracks? Well, it sounds like
Mad Tracks to us too, but Load Inc. (who, wouldn't you know,
did make
Mad Tracks) promises that
Things on Wheels will be its own fresh racing experience. We'll see about that. One good thing
Things on Wheels has going for it is its art-style which can be previewed in the single teaser screenshot above. Enjoyable, no?

Way back in April, we
tried out the Monster Madness demo and walked away less than impressed. What was present in the game wasn't bad, but it definitely had issues. Particularly, the game had serious camera and control issues, which made the demo much more difficult than it had to be. It looks like the developers have taken many of the game's criticisms (we weren't the only ones who made them) and addressed them in a title update available now on
Xbox Live.
SouthPeak informs us that the update includes several tweaks to the gameplay but the biggest change is definitely a revamped control scheme and camera. You may recall (but probably don't) our major gripe with the demo: "the directional aiming is constant. In other words, if your character is facing left, he keeps facing left until you adjust the right stick. It works fine for ranged weapons, but it's a pain to have to manually aim a melee weapon." The new control scheme makes it so the camera and character point in the same direction as the left stick, which is definitely a step in the right direction. Find a complete list of the other changes after the break.
Those out there with the game, let us know what you think of the changes.

Two Worlds wasn't exactly the
Oblivion killer it was hailed to be, but apparently that isn't stopping Reality Pump from pumping out an expansion (see what we did there?). The expansion, entitled
The Temptation, brings the typical things you'd expect from an expansion. These things include new areas to explore, new monsters to slay, improved NPCs, and a few new skills, most notably active blocking. The expansion is set to hit both the PC and consoles in the first half of 2008. So far the price has not been announced. But then again, you weren't really paying attention anyway, were you?

SouthPeak Games has informed us that a demo of the open world RPG
Two Worlds is now available on Xbox Live. Just to be sure, we checked, and sure enough it's up there.
Two Worlds is pretty much the closest thing we've got to
Diablo on Xbox Live (apart from
Phantasy Star Universe and the upcoming
Too Human anyway), so if you've got a hankering for the demon slaying and loot gathering of yore, give it a spin.
SouthPeak also lets us know that a title update for the retail version of
Two Worlds is on the way, and will include several fixes and updates asked for by the community. Check out the list of changes after the break.

With
Two Worlds releasing next week, eager fanboys should know that there is a collector's edition available which features a bonus disc of additional content, an exclusive map and a ginormous 48 page hardbound art / storybook. And, as if it weren't obvious, the CE highlight is the 48 page book (only because a twenty sided die wasn't included) and our friends over at IGN were lucky enough to get the book already and open its pages. Revealed inside the
Two Worlds novel book is information about the game's character classes, races, skills, and of course some spiffy artwork too. Simply by giving the CE hardbound book a look through, IGN admits that their interest in
Two Worlds has risen slightly, so we can't help but think that for an extra $10 the
Two Worlds CE would be the way to go if even just for the 48 page behemoth. We've given you something to ponder RPG fans, so get to pondering.

The little RPG that could,
Two Worlds has officially joined the collector's edition crowd, bonus disc and all. GamingTalkHQ spotted a listing over at Gamestop for a
Two Worlds Collector's Edition and confirmed with developer SouthPeak that it is real and the listed contents were correct. So, for $10 more you'll receive a bonus disc which includes artwork, music, wallpapers and a web kit as well as a
Two Worlds map and a 48 page hardbound artbook. The collector's edition will be available when the game releases on July 31st and sounds like it'd be worth the extra cash if you're into art and pretty photos. If not, standard edition for you.

Two Worlds has seen so many release date changes it's getting hard to keep track of them. Back in May,
Two Worlds was set for a
release in July. Then we heard just last week that the game would be
released in August. Now, speaking to GamingTalkHQ, SouthPeak has announced that the game will be coming out in July after all. Specifically, a SouthPeak representative said that the game will release on July 31st (assuming that
this time the date is correct anyway). Whenever
Two Worlds does come out, we hope it's worth the wait.

Two Worlds publisher SouthPeak told Euroganer that the title would be hitting retailer shelves on Xbox 360 and PC in early August. They didn't narrow it down further than that, but reaffirmed that both platforms would see a simultaneous release. The one thing that really sets this free roaming RPG from
Oblivion is the persistent multiplayer aspect of the game. Are you looking forward to playing online with
Two Worlds this summer?

Eurogamer recently got their hands on an early build of the Xbox 360 version of
Two Worlds, the open world RPG from Reality Pump and
Southpeak. Eurogamer notes that the game's constant
comparison to
Oblivion is not unwarranted, and that the games actually share quite a bit as far as aesthetics and genre are concerned. Like
Oblivion,
Two Worlds gives players many, many opportunities to avoid the main storyline. Yes, there are sub-quests aplenty, so many in fact that you could probably spend dozens of hours in the game before beginning the main quest at all. The article does note, however, that many of
Two Worlds' graphical elements (particularly human faces) don't hold up well compared to
Oblivion. Likewise, the combat -- both magical and melee -- looks as though it could get repetitive quickly. Eurogamer remains hopeful that combat will be spruced up in the final version. They also believe that
Two Worlds' much vaunted multiplayer mode could become the feature that sets the game apart. All in all, Eurogamer wasn't floored by
Two Worlds, but they're looking forward to spending more time with the finished version.
Our question to you: is a free online multiplayer mode enough to make you consider
Two Worlds?

Upcoming Online RPG
Two Worlds had its 41 Achievements revealed today, at
IGN, of all places. Either way it seems to be the standard fair of objectives. At the very least, one would have to agree that it certainly seems far more obtainable than
Final Fantasy XI's current set. Also worth noting is the final Achievement of "Defeated the Grand Enemy" has the
second third highest Gamerscore worth of 370 points, next
Madden NFL 06's "Complete 30 Years of Franchise", for 400 GS, and
2006 FIFA World Cup's "Complete all Scenarios", a 500-pointer. Are you going to be unlocking away next month in
Two Worlds?
