Video: World at War 'slow-mo' launch trailer
Activision and Treyarch just released the official Call of Duty: World at War launch trailer and it comes complete with fire, assassination moves, explosions and a ten gallon jug full of slow motion effects. The kind of super slow motion that only enhances the action on screen. Enjoy the trailer, enjoy slow motion, and enjoy the rock n' rollin' musical track. It's a World at War.

Wow... I was already pumped to get this game being a huge ww2 and COD4 fan... But this just makes me want to have it now.
I love this game already from playing the beta since It started. Can't wait to jump into some online co-op and online zombie mode... Shits gonna go down.

Glorifying war as some kind of personal rocks-off kill-fest? That's not what WW2 was about. The trailer sucked. But you guys ate up the violence, which just means more of the same next time.
And yes, I do play COD4 and FPS games. I just don't like the violence glorified & stylized like this.

if you hadn't notice by now, no one care about how real the game is or what it was like because its only how fun it is to play and i think the beta was pretty good

@Doug: My thoughts exactly. For me this kind of 'jumps-the-shark' from game to violence fetish.
I haven't played the beta, but this trailer totally turned me off.

I beg your pardon sir, but do you realize you're basically one of those damn hypocrites that just make me /facepalm? Seriously nobody said that was what WW2 was all about. This trailer was basically showcasing the graphics capabilities of the game. That's it. Now go back to sucking Jack Thompson's cock faggot.

You can say whatever you want, X3F doesn't seem to have any forum standards, but the violence line is pushed out with every new release, even a supposedly cut-and-dried game like COD.
Not all FPS gamers are looking to gorge on ultraviolence. We just want to play a 'game.'

There is a part of me that wants to say, "this is based off of WWII, so technically these were real people going through horrid amounts of pain when they died, and this is going to a rock soundtrack" but on the other hand movies like Pearl Harbor and Flyboys play up the romantics of war which is no different in my humble opinion.

Agreed, this game is gonna whip Medal of Honor: Pacific (or what ever it was)'s ass. Just the beach landing and aircraft sequence hooked me alone.
