In the interview, Steinberg decided to gloat about the PS3's upcoming catalog of games, console features and superb Blu-ray tech all while pointing out that their "competition has already leveraged all their big assets in the first couple of years" and doesn't have anything left to offer. A metaphorical knockout to one's self. Steinberg further went on to say that they "are the [HD movie] standard" with a "formula [that] is going to drive consumers to the PS3" ... amazing. So, we guess a hugely successful Xbox Live Arcade, a Video Marketplace, games like Halo Wars, Ninja Gaiden II, Fable 2, Banjo-Kazooie 3 and Gears of War 2 don't mean much to Mr. Steinberg and his magical, global warming ending, world peace bringing Blu-ray technology.

Gears of war is not a good game or a system seller. Only thing Microsoft was to have a game that had a acronym same as god of war. Gears of war 2 will just be gears of war 1 with a lamer plot. Halo wars is not going to be decent because its a stratergy game on a console go play age of empire on a system. They may say they are trying to do the controls more console like but yeah they make up lies.
Sony as in 2008 are Little big planet, Socom, Metal gear , Home and So much more 360 wont last 4 years or even close to ten years.
Also, Developers are making the games on the ps3 now first instead of the 360.
360 may look good yes it did decent in 07 360 fan just watch over the years. You m ay want to check what happened to the original x box. Most than likely it will happen similar to that :). Im done talking to fans that like gears and halo.

Listen, I hear you on the fact that 08 the spot light is shinning brighter for PS3. But what about afterwards?
The developing for PS3 thing will only hurt the gaming community because devs are on a timed schedule and if it's taking too long because of the PS3 development then stuff will get cut out. I don't see PS3 development first as a plus. It is a known fact that the differences between the PS and Xbox sdk are substantial.
Finally. You can not compare the Original xbox to the new one. For starters the PS2 had way more fans (due to the PS1), was released earlier and had more games. In other words the original xbox had a very uphill battle.
In this generation the field is more or less flat due to the SDK thing. example: Sony has a potentially more powerfull CPU, Games are easier and faster to make on Xbox (the graphics card is a tad bit better on xbox).
Result: Flat field, with price being the only thing that isn't flat.

Wow man, there aint jack on the ps3 I want that isnt already on the 360. MGS thats it and that game will have next to no replay value.
GOW2 will own all and will most likely outsell Halo3 even.
We will see GOW2 push sales I guarentee it.
Not to mention Mass Effect 2 and Bio Shock 2 games that will only be found on 360.
The fact of the matter is that if GH3, Rock Band,Vegas2 and COD4 didn't hit the ps3 It would currently still be a worthless system.
To me it still is, I have most those games on 360 and in most cases they run better, load faster and are on a MUCH better online network. PS3 is Garbage.

As for all the fanboyism that makes me laugh I find it ironic that if PS3 is made fun of everyone laughs but if 360 gets a bash its like someone insulted your mama. I have both systems and find them equally enjoyable. If you arent playing your PS3 its a shame cause your missing out. And before I hear someone say no games or controller isnt comfotable: Resistance, Drakes Fortune, Time Crysis, Ratchet and Clank Future, Heavenly Sword. And no I am not a fanboy just love games and sick of ignorance.

Both systems have their merits, but it doesn't make one better than the other.
Though I do have to laugh at the PS3 owners who always claim how MS likes to 'nickel & dime' us 360 owners, what the hell do they think Sony is doing with GT5P? Here buy 1/3 of the game we will release later at the same price! That's the ultimate in 'N&D'ing.

Killzone2 is a joke, Resistence and haze are second rate fps games that will be in the bargin bin as fast as those companies other offerings.
Rachet is a kids game GT is the same as its ever been which is old. MGS is about it, and like I said no replay value. Little big planet I'll admit I don't know much about but ultimatley I could care less.
I cant even believe Time Crysis was mentioned, LMAO.

Haze may be a good game but the bottom line is, the Timesplitter series was bad ass too and sold like dick.
Digital Downloads for ps3 suck balls too. The only games It has I would actually want are tekken and MK2.
You either like one more than the other or your just that unopinionated and have no clue what your doing with either.
360 is easly the best console ever in the history of gamming and to compare it to the Pile of Shit 3 is an insult not just to Ms or 360fanboys but to the gaming industry.

Your a good example of why I find distaste in fanboyist attitude. You act as if you are attacking my oppinions and ideas. Not every game is like by the whole world. There are games I could care less about on the 360 doesn't mean I am sitting here critisizing you for your deceission to play them. Those games were awsome and many people that played them after being sceptical loved them. So you may not like them woopee others do just tired of people stating there are no games when I know of tones that consume my time.

In all seriousness HD video won't become a standard the way VHS of DVD did for at least another 2 years. Prices haven't dropped they way they need too, and since HD-DVD got killed, BR has actually slightly gone up in price again.
Sony really has nothing to stand on with these claims and forgets that a bigger installed console base only needs a good stream of games for the next few years to stay successful. They don't need a built in HD disc player to be a successful game console, and how quickly Sony forgets of digital distribution.

The 360 has ALREADY out the best games, and still has great years ahead of them. I only just purchased a 360 in December but have since stopped playing games on my PC, and revel on just good gaming is on the 360 truly is. Sony fanboys make there remarks here and are just jealous, the are nothing but mindless zealots for SONY....
Long live the 360! (well at least to the next big thing comes out)

there is no one in the world that can say if they had the money they wouldnt buy both so it is really a mute point xbox360 clearly has better games now and has no signs of slowing if you want the games that are going to be on ps3 great go buy one but i am happy with my 360 that have had for 2 years with great games and even better ones to come cough fable 2 cough gow2
