In the interview, Steinberg decided to gloat about the PS3's upcoming catalog of games, console features and superb Blu-ray tech all while pointing out that their "competition has already leveraged all their big assets in the first couple of years" and doesn't have anything left to offer. A metaphorical knockout to one's self. Steinberg further went on to say that they "are the [HD movie] standard" with a "formula [that] is going to drive consumers to the PS3" ... amazing. So, we guess a hugely successful Xbox Live Arcade, a Video Marketplace, games like Halo Wars, Ninja Gaiden II, Fable 2, Banjo-Kazooie 3 and Gears of War 2 don't mean much to Mr. Steinberg and his magical, global warming ending, world peace bringing Blu-ray technology.

"To be honest he's somewhat right. I mean there are like 7 upcoming games that I want for the PS3 and only ONE game (GOW2) that I want for the 360."
Name the seven games?? I didn't think so......
The 360 is by far the superior console to date. The marketplace is ground breaking and has changed the landscape of HOME ENTERTAINMENT forever.
My PS3 is a dust collecting paperweight Blu-Ray palyer.

anyway while sony might be getting carried away with some of those comments, the blu-ray victory wasn't just a walk in the park, but a huge win. that being said i still prefer my 360 anyday of the week to my ps3 =)

I personally love my 360 for so much more than just playing games. Stream music, movies, and pics from one of the three computers i have in my home, and with two 360's, that means that while i'm playing a game, my girlfriend and daughter can watch a movie in the living room. Or listen to music that i have on one of my computers. It's well worth the money IMO.
If microsoft would confirm blu-ray for the 360, i would hold off on buying a ps3. That's the only reason i want one, i would probably rent a couple games, but i don't think that MGS4 is a console seller for them. Sony just doesn'th ave the titles that make us want to play games over and over again. The PS3 is really just a blu-ray player that can play some overpriced games that you'll never play again after you beat them.
Achievements, gamerscore, DLC, and xbox live make the 360 the best console out there.

Here's how Microsoft wins, because the HD movies thing to me is the only thing Sony has going for it.
Exclusivity deal with NetFlix. Nuff Said.
Do it, and you'll DESTROY Blu-Ray and shift the market to digital download as you always wanted to. Let's be real, they half-heartedly pushed HD-DVD as the spec to win the format war. It was always about digital distribution to Microsoft.
Give the people NetFlix, and Sony will be sitting around punching itself in the dick.

The Xbox 360 is piece of shit! There aren't any good games on that console. (There's two good games on 360/ but they didn't sell well)
Why would anyone buy an Xbox 360? (An please don't mention ShitLo 3 and Crap of Duty 4 or Boring Theft Auto 4)

To people saying "Oh well before this gen, no games had [this feature] or [that feature] so this must be your first generation", your point is ridiculous. I grew up on games from the NES/Megadrive and have played pretty much constantly since, and while I loved the games I used to play (Super Mario Bros., Contra, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Legend of Zelda, Earthbound from SNES, etc.), in the current generation I expect Achievements and Online Play because that technology is widely-spread enough to merit them being in a game. This penis-envy crap about people coming onto an Xbox related site to talk trash and call us "Xbots", which I might add is hilariously bad, needs to stop. Go to Kotaku, Joystiq, and PS3 Fanboy where your opinions are welcomed because, unfortunately for you, trolls aren't welcome here.

it's like for 2 or 3 people to keep replying you gotta go back and forth to a certain page everytime you "think" someone replies.
Even then it's only one poor sap who gets his inbox filled with everyone's ranting! because the reply button is stupidly only under his name!
Somebody fix this plz!

I am not for or against any one console. I choose to invest my money in the Xbox 360 because it offers the most replay value, games, services etc at this point. The Wii and PS3 have their own pro's and con's.
As far as my consideration to purchase a PS3, it would be solely for the Blu-Ray player since HD-DVD failed. But, digital distribution is going to be huge, so I will hold out.
The Xbox 360 experience as a whole is what keeps me going back. Sony and nintendo can not even compete in this arena. So, next year, after all these big titles have released for Sony, I don't see them doing as well as they think they will do. They have to consider that two thirds of the people buying that console right now are doing so for the Blu-Ray player. I guarantee that the Xbox 360 games will outsell the PS3 games just for fact alone.
Why does Sony keep comparing themselves (the PS3) to Microsoft (the Xbox 360)? To me, they are nothing alike and hands down the 360 is a better "GAMING" console period.

Sony is so arrogant.
Even if they have outsold the xbox for the past two months that doesn't mean that the better games are on that system.
As a gamer I could care less how many consoles Sony has moved. Show me the software !!
Why does Sony think that MS dropped all the hot games?
Within the past year the only sequels I can think of are Forza and Halo? How is that punching yourself out?
I thik Sony is tired of going blow for blow with MS and would love it if MS just quit.
Come on Sony !! what you aint used to a little competition ?

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, Haze, MGS4, Disgaea 3, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, SOCOM: Confrontation, FFXIII, L.A. Noire, Tekken 6, White Knight Chronicles.
It seems to me that you didn't even give the guy a chance to respond before you started to assume, but let me know if you need anymore help thinking of some games. I'll be happy to help you. :)
"The marketplace is ground breaking and has changed the landscape of HOME ENTERTAINMENT forever."
In what way does it change the landscape might I ask you? In the way they nickel-and-dime you for every content on the Marketplace? In the way they overcharge you for a video you don't keep and not even Full-HD, not to mention 5+ GB's? Because we all know that I can fit that much stuff on my Premium console, with 13.9GB available to use and all. And then, they ask us to buy a $180 120GB HDD if we, the 10+ million who have a premium, want additional storage. If that's the case, you've got a valid point and makes my 360 purchase a great delight. ::Enter sarcasm::
"My PS3 is a dust collecting paperweight Blu-Ray palyer [sic]."
Oh yeah, my twice red-ringed 360 says hello to your working PS3. Grow up and do some research before you start to make stupid claims. You make all of us who own a 360 sound like morons.

If it wasn't for poor choices made by MS, the PS3 wouldn't even be on sale anymore.
MS should have kicked this system when it was down and finished it for good.
Instead they ignored the chance to bury it and here we are.
