I never understood why anyone would ever want to watch something like this.
Especially for scary or story driven games. Maybe like Tekken or something. But not Origin or Oblivion or Final Fantasy. It's stupid.

As long as the game eventually leaves incredibly sterile environments I'll give it a shot. The first one had awesome firefights, but the level design left a lot to be desired. Overly linear (like many games, but it was just TOO obvious here -- can't go through that door? here's a vent right to the left of it), desolate, empty place after desolate, empty place.
I hope it turns out, but I'm not as interested as I could be.

That looks pretty lame. It's basically F.E.A.R.: Different Location, Same Enemies. The formula is pretty basic for this game - walk around in a dark area with eerie music effects in the background, stumble upon a group of clones who always yell their orders as loud as they can, kill with slo-mo, rinse, repeat.
BORING. Just like the first game.

Doesn't look new at all and the levels still consist of red and different shades of grey. Doesn't even look much better than FEAR. Quite disappointing.

I loved FEAR. The achievements are ridiculously hard to get though. My only complaint for the first one was that you kept hearing all of these cool reports of this chaos going on down on the streets but when you looked out the window you didn't see anything at all. Just empty streets.
It doesn't seem like it would have been too difficult to put some cars and flashing lights down there. But, hey, I'm not a programmer.

@1 Tim,
Really? You don't know why anyone would want to watch this. Wow! I can name about 3 of the top of my head for 3 types of people, those who don't want the game, those who might want the game and those who want the game:
1. The person has no intention of buying the game and wants to see what the gameplay, graphics, story, etc...is like.
2. The person might want to purchase the game and wants to see what the gameplay, graphics, story, etc...is like.
3. The person wants to purchase the game and wants to see what the gameplay, graphics, story, etc...is like.
I could go on too. The person is so excited for the game they want to....well, you get the idea. It is like playing a demo, only you are not playing it. Do you not understand why someone would want to play a demo, especially for a scary or story driven game? Does it ruin the story when you see or play the first part of it? I mean really, how big and tight are those blinders on your eyes anyway?
Hey, guess what, I played F.E.A.R and wasn't impressed and I had no intention of buying this game. Now, after watching it, I might pick it up. Now do you understand? Hey, give me a call if you still haven't figured it out yet.
Plus, next time, think for about a milli-second before you post something so niave and, dare I say, stupid.

It looks pretty good. I agree about the comments about the sterile levels and gameplay: I really hope Monolith learned a few lessons from FEAR.
Another thing I noticed is the way the framerates took a dip every time the player opened fire with an automatic weapon. FEAR always had this jerky feeling to its controls and the over exaggerated head bob. Cut it out!

I plan on getting it, and watched for two reasons:
1) to see how gameplay looked and such.
2) because, it's the START of the game. It's not spoiling anything that won't be spoiled within the first 15 minutes. Not like watching the ending...

This looks amazing to me - some nice new touches to already sweet gameplay.
Of course, people will complain that it's the same stark environments, and that there are no bright purple aliens to kill. Because that's what people do - complain.
