Eric Staal is the man, but id rather see his brother, Jordan, from the Pens on it. he had a bigger 06-07 season.

Not much of a surprise seeing as EA's hawks him in their TV ads.

So I guess this means Sid The Kid will be on 2K8. Either way I'll buy both.
Let's Go Pens!

"and he works hard."
Not in the 06-07 season, he didn't. Or at least it didn't look it. :-(
Seriously though, the Canes are my hometown team as well, but this decision is a bit surprising to me. We failed to make the playoffs this year and Staal is perched on a rather unwieldy career fork at the moment (it could go both ways).
Perhaps the folks at EA Canada want to start a Madden-like curse for their cover athletes!

Oh yeah Getzlaf. I was so sick of hearing the announcers on his jock the whole playoffs. Heeeee's sooooo gooood. All 58 points he put up this season. He'll be very good but no Crosby, Staal, Datsyuk, Kovalchuk.
Anyway NHL 08 should be great. I hate EA, but they did a good job with 07. Now they just need better D and many more options. (Dynasty, Mini-Gmaes, etc)
