1. Good game.

Halo is just an added bonus for me and did not influence my purchasing decision.

2. I'm buying it today and honestly, when it got down to it, it was because I liked the demo and the idea of just getting the screw around in the full title... in some ways, it's kind of the Superhero action game I've been waiting for.

Halo 3 is nice, but considering I have Halo 2 and rarely play it online, it's not a major factor whatsoever. I admit I'm looking forward to it, though.

3. I was going to buy it but then I got an email about a week ago saying I was in on the Halo 3 Beta so I have no need to buy it. But from the demo it seems to be a good game, but nothing that I would play.

4. At first I pre-ordered it just for the beta. However, after playing the demo a bit, I'm definitely interested in the full game.

5. i was originally gonna buy it for the beta, because Europe got little way of getting into the beta, tried the demo and liked it. so im getting it for both

6. I was going to buy it anyway before I knew of the Halo 3 beta. If anything, it's my mates that really wanted the beta but couldn't afford the game, so they're buying the beer and snacks when it's released :D

7. It's a good game. I don't actually care about the free beta. The Halo series of games is horrendously overrated.

8. Had so much fun in the demo that buying it is a no-brainer for me.

Although I haven't played the story at all, the sandbox was so much better than GTA given that you have special abilities to tool around with and power up.

9. Yeah right. You fanboys kill me. If you got this game for any other reason than the Halo 3 beta hopefully you were disappointed because this game is mediocre at best, and if you aren't disappointed then your blood is officially XBOX green.

10. Hey Jason. Don't hate on the game or any of us just because you don't have the $$$ to buy it. Go play those cheap arcade games you loser. Take that kind of negativity and shove it.

11. I know it's another overhyped Halo game but if you do buy it, buy it for the game. It seems a waste otherwise, given that we don't know when the beta will begin, what it will entail or how long it will last.

How about some patience kids? Halo 3 *is* being released this year.

Or do I hear lots of Cartman's chanting "Kehm onnnnnnn!!!"

12. buying it for the game itself. if i didn't get the halo beta, whatever. i loved the demo. as it stands, i got my copy this morning at circuit city AND got my free halo faceplate. w00t. i'll definitely check out the beta for hal0 3 for shits and giggles.

13. I bought it because if I don't like it - the Halo 3 beta will make it extremely easy to sell and hell - I may be able to play it for a couple of months then sell it a full price or more when the beta comes out..

14. Well, I pre-ordered it before I knew I got into the second phase of the beta registrations, but it's also a really fun game.

15. I bought it for the free faceplate. No not really, I'm most interested in the co-op play.

16. Throwing cars is fun!

17. Just got back from FutureShop. Got the last copy that was laying around in the PS2 section heheh. I bought it for the game. The demo was mindless fun and i like that kind of game. I don't remember who said this, but he said that he will spend more time screwing around than advancing the story... i agree with that statement because this is exactly what i have in mind!

I don't care about Halo. I played the first one on PC and i thought it sucked. I got Halo 2, but i barely played with it.

18. The demo is not available now.

19. not demo, I meant beta for halo3.

20. "It's a good game. I don't actually care about the free beta. The Halo series of games is horrendously overrated."

Compared to?

Gears of War and Resistance: Fall of Man are over-rated. A lot. Have 'em both, but still play Halo 2 regularly.

The only people who don't like Halo 2 either A. Never played it online or B. Don't like FPS games or C. Can't play with a controller

I was previously A, B, and C. I only had to play it on two separate occasions to become none of the above. It's be the most-played video game of all time for me in 20 years, even far surpassing my multiple runs of Final Fantasies, Mortal Kombat, and surprisingly, even Street Fighter II.

The only recent threat to that has been Wii Sports, but it's already getting old after a few weeks.

Anyway, I refuse to buy a game just for a beta of another game. I never liked sandbox games, so I'm doubting Crackdown is going to do anything for me. I'm ready for RPG action, myself...but I'm sure as hell not buying any more PS2 games.
