In a week where Flow is coming for the PS3? Not a good move. What's the difference of late anyway? Is paperboy or root beer tapper really better than nothing? The early retro titles were good. They had significantly upgraded graphics and sound. The last several retro offerings have just been cut and paste. Sure as hell not worth my $5, especially when I already own at least 2 other versions of the same games.

half the crappy games ms is quickly just throwing up to make money.... no putting enough time or effort into, hence the bugs...contra... anyways i would be glad to pay for good games, MS really has a good thing going with this live arcade, but why limit it ton absolutley one game a week? why not just put up whatever is ready, id buy 3-4 games a week if they were good ones... but instead they release crappy games i can play on the internet for free, www.adictinggames.com has better service than this.

Wow, Im not suprised at all, This xbox live team cannot get it together. If they keep this up they are bound to lose this console war, and their shooting themselves in the foot.
Nintendo releases at least 3 virtual console games a week every monday!
I mentioned in an earlier rant about the xbox live, that I would cancel my gold subscription... Its a definite GO on that, I will be a silver live member real shortly, Its not worth it.

Wow.. what drama queens. So you're telling me that since there wasn't an arcade release this week the 360 is going to loose the "console war" ?? You can't be serious right? Forget about all the other stuff that gets put out during the week, like movies, demos, themes, etc.. they fail to put an arcade game up and it's game over. Yea, real logical. And how the F*** are you going to boycott them?? I mean you're pissing and moaning about there not being an arcade release this week, yet to boycott them you're going to what? not buy an arcade game when one comes out? What sense does that make? And y'all are probably the same people who bitch about arcade games when they actually are released for one reason or another.. either it's not the game you were wanting or it costs too much or the enhanced graphics suck or something.. People always have to find something to bitch about. There isn't an arcade release this week.. get over it. Play an actual 360 title like.. I don't know Crackdown or something? Watch a movie, TV show or stream some shit from your PC or somethin.. There is tons of shit to do, so stop acting like spoiled brats!

They need to pull their finger out and get this shit sorted once and for all.

I wouldn't complain if MS had said they have content but are having trouble getting it working or whatever. I'd be fine with that.

What bothers me is that MS have said in the past that they'll have x amount of titles out before the end of the year and they'll release at least x amount of titles per week.

Neither of which has happened.

I'd rather be told nothing than be lied to.

I'm sorry floks but this SUCKS!!!! How can MS continue to do S**T like this. In a six week period XBLA has gone done the crapper, who needs to lose their job for this?? I mean how hard can it be to release a game every week!! The reason I say this is a few months ago Major Nelson had someone on his show from the XBLA Team and they stated " WE have so many games in the pipeline WE could release "2" games a week". Why say it and have Major Nelson make comments on his blog about how people should'nt complain if you get mad when the paying public expects a game every week??

Normally I don't mind so much when we miss a week of XBLA releases, but as another poster mentioned above, flOw, the PS3s supposed answer to Geometry Wars, is being released this week. I'm a patient man. I can wait another week for new content, but I think it may have been wise for Microsoft to release a blockbuster title (Worms, SotN..) this week in an attempt to overshadow some of the inevitable hype created by flOw.

Microsoft is currently winning the war, but they still need to match Sony step for step if they want things to stay that way. No resting on laurels!

This is not a one time deal. The xbox live team has done this multiple times! And who said anything about a boycott. Can you read?
Paying for xbox live service means you should get something in return, which xbox live is clearly not doing.
Especially when the other consoles online service is free.
So is this a factor in a console war? HELL YES IT IS.

That's too bad. I'm sure there'll be a title people actually want next week, though. I don't think too many were rooting for root beer tapper...

Are they loosing the war because of a missed release? Of course not. There's still many reasons to get a Gold subscription. Like, I dunno, online multiplayer!

Xbox 360 still rules. And don't compare XBLA to the Virtual Channel... Microsoft doesn't have any videogames from before the Xbox, and can't whip out one game after the other from a big collection like Nintendo can.
