3. Just read my experience - I agree! The PS3 wasn't hunted down at all this past weekend and I remember the 360 being hard to get for months.

10. I'm very proud of my 360, it's exactly what I want in a console (I just wish the context menus (guide button) responded a bit quicker and for some reason I can't connect to private chat and one-on-one games with a friend of mine, but oh well.

I had a wii for a couple of days and decided to sell it to a friend of mine (no profiting from friends =]) because it didn't feel like a gaming console at all. Wii Sports has been the most interesting game that I've played from nintendo since Mario Party in the 64 days, but that's about it.

12. I think that the only thing that REALLY matters is price. Last year, 360s were going for $600-700 on eBay up until about Xmas just as the PS3s did this year. I think most people view the consoles as equals and the demand is therefore the same for both at every pricepoint. However, there are onlt about a million or so people willing to spend $600 on a console, be it a 360 or a PS3. They have all bought their PS3s so now they are all just sitting on shelves. The price is a HUGE problem right now, it is much more important than any of the other issues such as online and multiplayer that the article suggested.

13. Personally I'm loving all this. Sony deserves
everything that is coming to them, for their downright arrogance. And when it comes to
BlueRay, its like Betamax all over again. Ha! I predict that this is the beginning of the end for Sony IMHO. On the flipside...WELL DONE Microsoft! A bit biased I suppose we are on this website, but I think most would agree that the general perception is that they care about their users, and that they are LISTENING.

I'm completely behind you on this one though, Sony do deserve everything that’s coming to them, they made the assumption that the general consumer is foolish.

As a big Xbox fan I was a little worried about 18 months ago at E3 2005 when Sony made their initial announcements of the specifications and services that the PS3 would provide us as a consumer with.

However, they haven’t managed to deliver on a single one of them and unfortunately that means the consumer suffers.

I love to watch Sony floundering in their own mess, it tastes so sweet, not only did they not learn from the more recent of their mistakes.

Blu-ray is the most incredible part of it, Sony seems to be running with hell bent intentions of launching a new media format still, and have been doing so for the last 32 years, each one a crippling failure.

You've then got to look at other things with the new console ... I mean ... take a look at the controller design… this one just kills me lol.

The base design for the PS3 controller is the same as that of the PS2, not such as bad idea ... but… what people seem to forget is that the PS2 controller design was based on that of the PS1 ... and the PS1 controller design was first released 14 years ago!!!! ... now that doesn’t seem much like progress to me, by the end of this console life cycle PS3 players will be using a controller design that is 20 years old?!?!?!?! ... Mental!

Check both of your NATs. Make sure that both Xboxs say that they're "open" and not "restricted". I had two friends who couldn't talk to each other but could talk to me and one of them had a NAT issue. After he changed his NAT and got the xbox to report it as "open" he could talk to the other guy.

20. I went to Gamestop with some friends tonight, to pick up Gears of War (finally! I've had no time lately) and the clerks were taking PS3s to the back. They asked me if I wanted one, and after I said no, the guy told me they're not selling...too expensive, but they can't keep up with demand for the Wii...I just hope more people buy 360s instead of going for a cheaper Xbox or PS2 if they don't know better...
