Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars was officially confirmed as a 360 title last month, and now we bring you brand new footage of the game, via GameTrailers. In short, the game looks insane (in a good way). Without any sort of HUD or visible interface, it's hard to imagine actually being in control of the madness on screen. The game looks great, especially for an RTS, and looks to be running at a buttery smooth frame rate, too. Watch the video after the break and tell us what you think.
It's a sure bet that EA will be implementing the control design they developed for Battle for Middle Earth II. What tweaks to the controls would you like to see?

1. Importing the control system from BFME is fine, provided that a few things change:
First, the game’s frame rate needs to be improved. When large numbers of units were on the screen at once, your reticule’s responsiveness suffered immensely. Eliminate the chop, and we have a nice, smooth-scrolling pointer, something that is absolutely critical for a game such as this when you need to quickly and accurately select & move your troops.
Second, along with this silky frame rate, we need to make the sensitivity on the reticule much more refined. Again, it's difficult to discern whether or not this was also a product of the frame rate, but it reminded me of something. You know how you need to hold down "crtl" to turn off the grid in MS Word when you're trying to place a picture or a text box? Well, in some cases (basically in large battles) I wished I could "turn off the grid" when I was playing BFME II. My pointer was skipping all over the place. (oh, har-har. You know what I mean.)
Again, both comments above reflect the fact that during intense battles it was difficult to select the army you needed quickly. That needs to be upgraded.
Finally, the "bookmark" system was pretty much broken. Yeah. Let's rethink that one too, EA.
Other than that, I found the scheme generally easy and fun to use, and I can't wait for C&C 3.
