Great (White North) Deal on Xbox 360

FactoryDirect.ca is selling Xbox 360 Premium consoles for the low, low price of $349.99 CDN. That translates into roughly $296 USD. Not a bad deal at all, but quantities are limited, as of this writing they have only 193 consoles in stock. The site lists the packaging as OEM, which stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. That explains the extreme discount on the Xbox, since there isn't a middleman jacking up the price for their own profit. In any case, if you're a fellow hoser fanboy and want to get your hands on some cheap Xbox 360 hardware, here's your ticket. Anyone going to capitalize on the deal "while supplies last"?

3. This is a good deal. I saw another good one in a weekend flyer that came to my house. (In Edmonton) If you signed up for a 3 year contract with telus you could get an xbox 360 pro with GRAW and xbox arcade hits for $89 cdn. 4. Be warned - Factory Direct does NOT have a good reputation. I've known many people who've bought their refurbished products (which I strongly suspect these 360s are), had problems (ie a DOA unit), and had no end of trouble trying to get a replacement at all, let alone one that worked.

It's only a deal if it WORKS, and longer than their typically short offered warranty. Maybe someone can verify that MS will provide a 1 year warranty with these things?

Otherwise, good luck. I stopped shopping at Factory Direct years ago, and I don't think they've gotten any better since then.

5. As already mentioned, Factory Direct are right assholes when it comes to busted goods, and you have a VERY good chance of getting busted goods from them. I'd rather spend an extra chunk of cash to buy it from a reputable dealer, because I've been screwed over by these fuckers on more than one occasion.

6. i got a video card (ATI 256 mb PCI)from them when i could only find PCIe ..they delivered NEXT day (delivery was free)..and it worked just fine..thought id mention it to be fair...

these are the originally released (2005) boxes that people have returned. sold as open box.
