Following their interview with two members of the Too Human development team, Bytesector returns with some camcorder footage of actual Too Human gameplay! We'll be seeing plenty more of this next week at E3, but if you've been waiting to see how Silicon Knights' much-anticipated action game plays, then you'll be pleased to know: it looks action-packed!
As was written in EGM this month, there appears to be a plethora of maneuvers to keep the action exciting and the repetition to a minimum. Most interesting is probably the camera. Much of the demo appears to be a user-controller camera, but there are scenes where the camera automatically selects a dramatic angle for the action. This technique was used to great effect in last year's God of War, and looks to be similarly effective in this short bit.
Microsoft's Gamerscore Blog has also put up some screens of Too Human on their Flickr page.
[Thanks, Asim]
(Before this post was even done, the video has been removed. It's only a matter of time before someone gets this up at YoutTube, or the like, and we'll update the post then. Sorry!)
(Update: Big ups to bv for tracking it down at the shiny new GameVideos site.)

wow the graphics look goon even in the crappy quality of the video, but the game is so clunky and slow. The person that is controlling the character sucks at playing and doesnt make the game look that interesting.

Sorry.. but it looks boring to me.
Just good grafics and a game design that obviously ran like this:
"Wouldn't it be cool if we did, like, that cool stuff like in those movies. - Yeah, cool. - And then that sword moves like, you know, really cool martial arts, cool stuff. - Yeah, cool. - And then with the gun, you know, get down and really cool and mean bam, bam, bam, bam. - Yeah, so cool."
Come on guys. Good grafics is not next gen. Next gen is new and inovative gameplay to me...

It looks like a shiny button masher (with bad AI) that does not deserve the hype it's getting.

Yeah, it does look a little gay. Hopefully it plays better than what the video shows.

There aren't really any buttons to mash, if you read up on the game you actually use the right analog stick to control the melee attacks and the left and right trigger to shoot your left and right gun. The camera is completely controlled by the game and zooms in when using melee attacks and pans out for firing weapons, I believe I read somewhere that the AI was turned off in order to let the people play testing play with it. I trust silicon knights to make this game fun, no worries here and I can't wait for it at E3.

I agree that it's too early to tell, but it doesn't look great. Using the stick for melee attacks makes me nervous. Historically that just doesn't work. Anybody remember Blade? Of course you don't it sucked.
I have a lot of faith in Silicon Knights. I want to see some official gameplay--preferably from someone who's had some practice--before I make too many more judgements.
