Our friends in the UK and Ireland received some new non-video game related XBLM content today, with four Foo Fighter music videos available for download. These four musical gems include Foo songs "All My Life", "My Hero", "The Pretender" and "Times Like These". But before you get too excited fellow Foo lovers, know that this content is far from being free and will set you back 200 Microsoft points each. We don't know about you, but we like our music to be either free or include some kind of Rock Band or GHIII functionality, especially for 200 points. Meh to it all.

Isnt that about 10$ US (800msp) for four music videos you can get for free off youtube? Dont know if that conversion is right or not but its still alot for nothing.

I think this offering can be summed up by borrowing a phrase from Monty Python's "The Argument Sketch"
"What a stupid concept."

Don't knock pay for play music video downloads. I'd be onboard if the pricing was right, good selection, and yeah ... HD.

You can get anything for "free" off of anywhere, that's kind of a separate point. This about what they'd cost to purchase on most music services.

It figures, the video downloads in the marketplace always suck, when they get something good they wanna charge for it.
Maybe this is some kind of a test feature to see if the UK and ireland buy into. Hope you guys make it fail.

What's laughable is - even if anyone wanted this. The only Marketplace points cards available to buy around here where i live in the UK are £17.50 (2100 points) and £34.99 (4200 points)so anyone actually wanting this has to fork over a hell of a lot more to even get them.
I'll stick to youtube, not like foo fighters are any good anyway.

I hate the idea of paying for music videos. Who in their right mind would pay for an advertisement? Isn't that all a video is. That's why they make them, so the song gets popular and sells albums. It's disgusting to be asked to pay for them.

Isn't the idea of a music video to promote and sell the album. iTunes pulls this kind of shit also, don't they!?

Yay! another sucky idea for our little nation. Am I the only person the UK that thinks we are constantly getting screwed over at every opportunity?

Well we're not really 'screwed' in comparison to some countries, but we certainly aren't top priority customers to MS. If we do eventually get the video marketplace I can't imagine it being given half the conetent that the American ones get.

Great. Overpriced SD videos of a band that enjoys the taste of penis.
Thanks Microsoft!

Another overpriced piece of shit offering for the UK. They do this all the time, last I looked they were doing the same with Oasis vids, but at least they offered 1 of em free (it was still crap).
They need to open their ears to what the UK people want, cos we don't want 200 point SD music vids.

Yeah, I find that it's pointless to buy a lot of these videos from marketplace when you can find them on youtube for free.
I remember last year I spent 100 points on a GoW strategy video that told me how to beat General RAAM, that I found for free on youtube a few hours later. It made me feel very foolish.
