1. Well seeing as its an acting call for a tv commercial, they can choose to cast a black guy if they want to. Now finding a good black gamer who plays online using his VERIZON DSL in the NY area may be hard to find, since good gamers need fast and reliable lag free service to compete with the top ranks, and thats not the case with Verizon. :p

futheremore, what in the world does this have to do with the xbox 360? This kind of lame news story should be posted on joystiq, not on 360fanboy.

2. Actually my cable modem lagged more often than my Verizon DSL. Sure, It is "slower" but much more reliable.

3. Mike I agree with you.... this has nothing to do with X360.
And finding a real gamer who uses Verzion DSL is like impossible... DSL is not reliable enough to be playing games on. That sucka drops connection so many dam times it would be impossible for a real gamer to have any true points online using Verzions DSL. You would have to live in the tower and even then you probably still couldn't stay connected. These people have got to be kidding.

Why don't they just make it fake like the million and one commerials on TV. No one - and I mean No one who is a real Gamer will care if the person is a real gamer or not. Because real Gamer's don't use Verzion DSL.

And people who are not Hardcore Gamer's can not be fooled into using Verzion DSL for gaming because any Gamer will tell you the service Sucks and is terrible for gaming.

4. Yes i agree this may be almost impossible.I am a black male that lives in NYC but i use optimum online cable.I got rid of verizon a few years ago.It was to slow.

5. That is a load of bullshit. Verizon DSL is great, I have NEVER had a dropped line on either my DSL or my mobile phone, and I have had the DSL for nearly 2 years.

7. If I were you, JCP, I wouldnt give in to their demands. They want a black guy so they can use him in the commercial but you dont know what kind of things they will make you do. Dont settle for this. Be strong and just let Verizon suffer. Let them burn in hell.

You have a very valid point SlimJimmy, but there is alot of money to be made in an opportunity like this one, because it would be a national spot seen all over the country which would be a huge step in the right direction career wise :D, but still you are right and I would much rather be a terrance howard than a will smith, (follow their careers and you'll see what I mean)
