Weighing in at a reasonable 695MB and available for download off the
Xbox Live Marketplace is a brand new
SoulCalibur IV demo that has been specifically crafted for your
SoulCalibur fighting enjoyment. And before you ask, we'll admit that we don't know all that much about the demo, what's included or which characters are featured in it (fingers crossed for Yoda), so don't ask us. Just download it and quit being so darn lazy. But, we do know what our favorite thing about the
SoulCalibur IV demo is, and it's the NAMCO-BANDAI supplied demo description which reads: "Especially suitable for the players out there who are still undecided in purchasing the final product!" Now that's called being honest.

There's no blood in Soul Calibur. Damn your title!

That's exactly my gripe with it. The series needs to grow up and depict swords as being capable of dismembering people.
The way it is, the game is more like a simulation of cosplayers with plastic swords.

One-hit-kills don't exactly make for a fun fighting game.

And you know this, how? I'm downloading the demo now. I have it on my list to play, but the demo will let me know if it stays on my list.

--SPOILER ALERT-- The demo teases you with Yoda, but you gotta find out for yourself if you actually fight the little green dude who's sooo bad-ass.

Spoilers....
You don't, and the demo actually ends with yoda saying "I don't want to fight you" or something to that effect, at which point he...doesn't fight you. I was actually quite annoyed at that, but whatever. I'll buy this game sooner or later.

I'm kinda lookin forward to MK vs DC, the gameplay looks smooth and fast, and the powers are cool. I'm not too sure about the story, but it looks balanced and I love DC characters. Anyone else interested?

If next week's GameStop coupon is for 25% off used 360 games, then I'm going in for SCIV.
I figure enough people will have tried it to end up with a few used ones out there...

As a Fighter, I've got to say "f you SOul caliber"
1) F-You and your fn retards. I have to fight people who deck their characters in bunny costumes online?
2) F-You and your f'n matchmaking system. Quickmatch doesn't work, finding a match is "HORROR"
3) F-You and the stupid play balancing. What did you even beta test this thing?
4) F-You and your stupid, no sense, idiotic way to make a couple bucks - Star Wars tie ins.
I'm going back to VF, someone wake me when SFIV comes out.
