Mistwalker's first outing on the 360 wasn't exactly a break-out hit when it was released. Despite rumors of a sequel, it's not considered to be much of a success in the community. Now it's time to take advantage of that, considering that the game is actually pretty good if you can stand the pure Japan of the thing. Both Amazon and Toysrus had the game up for $19.99, but Amazon is currently sold out, so if you want a deal on a good JPRG you're going to have to make your purchase at Toysrus. And if you care to take a chance and hoof it on over to a brick and mortar Toysrus we hear that it's twenty percent off in-store. (Oh, for any Canadian gamers out there, here ya go)

If it wasn't for the stupid mini-games like shooting at moons, I'd play it again. The battle stuff was really nice.
The extra content makes it seem worth retrying someday, but not until I forget how many times I had to redo the moon part...

Thanks for the heads up. Might give this one a shot after I finished Lost Odyssey and GTA. :P

I figured despite everything I hated about the demo for this game that I would pick it up when it hit the discount rack but while reading the story all the terrible screaming craptastic 80's metal guitar music filled my head. There is no way I could play through 40-60 hours of that garbage.
Maybe on mute I could grind through it but I certainly wouldn't enjoy it.
I will get Eternal Sonata when it goes cheap though. I liked that demo.

Eternal Sonata will be a great value when it moves to a discount price. My wife and I really enjoyed playing this game in co-op. Combat is fun. Some of the cut scenes can be fast-forwarded straight through though.

I hated the demo. I like the game. I think this is a case of a demo that hurts the game rather than helps it. I picked it up used based on a recommendation and I've gotta say I like it. Of course, I do like these kinds of games but still I'd say give it a try if you're interested but hesitant.

I picked the game up at target's clearance wall for 14.99. Also, keep an eye on Amazons gold deals today at 6 PDT because it was a RPG will be on sale (who knows).

looks like I'm running to toysrus today. THanks for the tip! I was pretty excited for this game but after playing the demo I wasn't ready to plop down full price on it.

That's like $6.66 a disc. Also, Lost Odyssey is better.
