We're going to do something a little different for our Fanpoll this week. Rather than take a static poll, we're going to ask our readers to submit individual ideas. Radical thinking, hmmm? As it turns out, we're also straining to come up with a question that would be easily answerable by a static poll, so we've decided to steal a topic from our Joystiq mother ship: what features would you like to see in the Xbox 360 Fall Update? We already know that it won't be IPTV, so what could it be? Do we have any prognosticators out there that can foresee the next big Xbox 360 bell and/or whistle? Let us know what you'd like to see -- or predict what you think will come true -- in the comments.

Honestly, the results of this poll surprised us. We had figured Rock Band would be the victor, but Guitar Hero III enjoys a healthy lead over its peripheral-heavy cousin, though there is a large percentage of people opting to buy both. The majority that chose Guitar Hero III cited a better track list and a much lower price as primary reasons for picking it over Rock Band. Rock Band proponents, naturally, are looking forward to the various instruments it utilizes. There you have it. The people have spoken.

A faster interface. I can't count the amount of times I've either accidentally pressed the media guide button and then been forced to wait 5-10 seconds for it to exit before I can play again. Or a friend will message me and I will click it quickly to get to my messages and it takes a good few seconds to load. I know this is a smaller thing but overall faster load speed would be amazing. Is this too much to ask from a super-advanced gaming system?

1. Dashboard software that doesn't trudge along like it's running on a 486.
2. Ability to preview a lot more stuff on the Marketplace. It doesn't read 'Lucky Dip' anywhere in the menus, so why do we have to buy stuff in that wat?
3. A reputation/stars system which actually tells me something about each player. Did they ever get around to fixing this or are all asshats still on 5 stars?

Ability to preview all gamerpics and themes (and a way to delete gamepics from your collection)
A way to adjust priority inside the download queue. Sometimes I have to wait for a movie to download before I can play a demo simply because I started the movie download first (without thinking of that at the time of course).

1)Multi-person voice-chat. What's the deal on not having it already? Comeon
2)Fix the damn away glitch, sometimes after it is autoset for inactivity it doesn't go away after you come back, such a pain in the ass to go through all the damn menus just to change your status to online.
3)More dashboard shortcuts, like someone else said, RB over someones name to invite to private chat and maybe LB to send a message.
4)Improve the dashboard in general, easier to navigate and faster loading. Each update should etch away at some of that dashboard lag but not eat away to much performance. The 360 is able to compute faster with a less powerful processor because its OS only takes up 2% of computing power where as the PS3's takes up 13%, don't wanna ruin the setup we have goin now.
5)Not so important but obviously the fall update will add a Clan blade, Microsoft has already made all games from now on remove an in-game clan feature so this is a given to happen.
6)Ability to turn ads on/off. There is actually an option on your dashboard believe it or not(hidden well) but it does nothing. I selected to opt out of ads when I migrated to my 360 but sometimes I wanna know if there is free shit available for download in places I don't typically look. I usually have to find out from frineds or X3F.

oh and FASTER DASHBOARD SHIT. I HATE HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR THE dashboard to pop up and come down. If you accidentally press it in an online game, you basically get killed/crash because of it.

I think it would be cool if they could add fantasy football to the dashboard/arcade. Also need Divx, Able to delete demo games gamerscore, put notes on friends so I know who they are, clan support for all games, free ad based XBL, preview of themes and ganerpics BEFORE I download them.
