We're going to do something a little different for our Fanpoll this week. Rather than take a static poll, we're going to ask our readers to submit individual ideas. Radical thinking, hmmm? As it turns out, we're also straining to come up with a question that would be easily answerable by a static poll, so we've decided to steal a topic from our Joystiq mother ship: what features would you like to see in the Xbox 360 Fall Update? We already know that it won't be IPTV, so what could it be? Do we have any prognosticators out there that can foresee the next big Xbox 360 bell and/or whistle? Let us know what you'd like to see -- or predict what you think will come true -- in the comments.

Honestly, the results of this poll surprised us. We had figured Rock Band would be the victor, but Guitar Hero III enjoys a healthy lead over its peripheral-heavy cousin, though there is a large percentage of people opting to buy both. The majority that chose Guitar Hero III cited a better track list and a much lower price as primary reasons for picking it over Rock Band. Rock Band proponents, naturally, are looking forward to the various instruments it utilizes. There you have it. The people have spoken.

Uh.. I think they should have an option to turn off visualisations such as the sliding effect when you push the Xbox button. Could make it load a lot faster without looking as fancy.

1. XBLA blade
2. Ability to categorize XBLA games into demos or actual purchases. I want to be able to look at either all my demo titles or all of my purchases and not have to scroll on each one.
3. Longer than 15 second voice messages.
4. Ability to tag your friends. Sometimes I don't know where I met someone and forget. If there was some way to be able to remind me where I met a friend or what games we've played together that would be great.
5. A lot of people have said multi-chat and clan support, not at the top of my list but it would be nice.

1. More Video format compatibility Divx, xvid, avi.

3. Blades need some Vista touches Give each blade a Dreamscape like look where the image can be a movie clip, and allow us to manipulate which clip can be played on each blade. After all you say the 360 is powerful lets put it to the test.
4. Man they gotta add the Internet Browser, come on M$ you made it impossible to uninstall IE from your OS, but you couldn't make a browser in your XB360?
5. Give us Achievement Progress for Pete's sake, I agree with some one else who posted this if you have an achievement for 1000 head shots show us where we are at like 794 of 1000.
6. Downloads shouldn't stop unless you go into a multiplayer. You should be able to play a game off the disc and have your console still download. Download would only stop when you go to the Multiplayer part of the game.
7. Import your own gamerpics, sure make a app download that we pay for so you get your $. But then allow us to import our own pics. Come on some of these gamerpics are awful.
8. Allow multiple "Non-live" profiles access to the downloaded and purchased arcade games the main live profile purchased. Point in case My wife Doesn't have a live account just a profile on the hard drive. Sometimes she wants to play Texas holdem and she can't because it is not unlocked. Fix that.

A better media browser and music player (ability to fast forward & rewind through songs, sort by folder, organize streamed files, etc). I have thousands and thousands of songs, and hundreds of videos. I would like a good solution to organize that through one xbox, without the use of Media Center. Could be a simple xml file that emulates the folder structure. I'd rather keep my hollywood flicks seperate from my porn collection, yes that would be nice. ;)

My request is more for Marketplace. Which is to be able to download podcast. I would like to listen to X3F Podcast while I am playing H3. But seriously, podcast downloads would be awesome.
Another thing that would be nice for Marketplace is to be able to search for titles by name instead of scrolling down a 100 different names.

Video Marketplace for Canada, Europe and Japan would be nice. I would lick to see BBC shows, Zune Marketplace Blade, and additional networks and the ability to buy Movies on Marketplace. I would like the ability to change the sound of each of my friend (up to 20 different sounds) for the online alert. Better way to view themes and gamer pictures before purchases. Spotlight support – the ability to view trailers or gameplay videos of DLC without having to download them (exp. TriX and Treats Sweepstakes in the main Marketplace Blade). Better Zune and external HDD support. It would be nice for an IE Blade. But to tell you the truth I can’t see why xbox would ever add it and nor would I really want. I can’t see trading the security of xbox Live with IE.
