Just arriving in our inbox a few minutes ago was a Call of Duty 4 beta update straight from Infinity Ward. In their update email (posted after the break) they confirmed that they are raising the rank level from 11 to 16 tomorrow morning around 10:00AM pacific (yippy!). The raise in the rank level cap will allow beta players to experience new perks and new features including clan tags which occur at level 12. The current rank level cap has been the only thing holding back current CoD 4 beta players' fun, so we're sure the increased leveling will add a new layer of excitement to the beta. Big w00t to rank level increase!In other CoD 4 beta news, those around the world who've been waiting for their chance to get in on the beta will be allowed to do so soon. Infinity Ward announced that UK Live members will be able to join the beta this Friday simply by getting a clearance code from one of the various gaming websites listed and enter it online at the UK CoD 4 website. Also, both Australian and New Zealand Live members will get their chance at joining the beta tomorrow as well.
We're sure other countries already have received access (here's looking at you Italy) or will be joining soon, but honestly there's a lot of European countries to keep track of. So, we advise heading to your country's specific Call of Duty 4 website to get your specific details when it comes to beta facts. Phew ... we'll see you online.

Straight to the Point: The Level Cap Is Rising!
Friday morning at 10 am PDT (1 pm EST) we're going to be increasing the Rank level cap to Level 16. This is going to allow you to rank up and unlock more weapons, more perks, and more features; including Clan Tags (lv. 12). Im pretty sure by being capped at lvl 16 we only get one perk -Bomb Squad and one gun -Mini Uzi

It'll raise to 20 eventually, and possibly past that. It says on the forums that this is one of several raises to the level cap. Unless the next couple are in really tiny increments...

Now i really don't want to whine. But why the fuck do i have to preorder the game before i can try the beta and see if i even like it?
The only other place i can get access is gamespot who are more than likely going to give it away through a competition or eurogamer who are the same.
Why exactly do i need to get lucky when all the Americans who signed up all got access?
Now I'm not into the bitching much but i don't see this as fair at all. I wanted to try out the beta because the game itself looked interesting and i was going to decide if it was worth my buying it through it.
It's a real disappointment that they decided to give us this crap over just having a sign up and a quiz like they did the Americans, i know the site crashed and that's why you all got access but we should get the same treatment and shouldn't have to buy the game before we can even play the demo.
But yeah, i guess the world keeps spinning i just figured i'd vent.

I have no xbox 360, a repair box on its way to my house as of today (they say it will arrive Monday or Tuesday, but I doubt it), and Halo 3 preordered and the CoD 4 beta. GOD D@MN IT!! lol im like about to cry...yea not really but you get my point.
