Buying a Simpsons 360 is easier than winning it

Has trying to win a Simpsons themed Xbox 360 got you down, tired and depressed? Have you given up all hope and believe owning a rare Simpsons 360 is impossible? Well, if you have the cash to back up your desires then we have good news for you.

Up for auction on eBay one of these yellow Simpsons themed Xbox 360s that was won during a taping of MTV's TRL by tossing donuts into Homer's mouth. The winning donut tosser didn't want her yellow 360 and decided auction cash would suit her better. Currently, the high bid is at a whopping $1,900 with five days to go, so you better be packing a fat wallet.

As the old saying goes, one person's winning TRL moment is another person's high bid which creates a profit-pay exchange that ends in a owner and a seller who are both happy, happy excited!

4. I'm surprised there's not some sort of contract involved barring the winner from selling it online.

Just yesterday, my best friend calls me up and tells me that he won one of those ginormous Simpsons movie theater displays - i.e. the couch with the plastic characters sitting on it. One caveat - in the agreement he had to sign to collect the goods, there's a bit barring him from selling it "on eBay or any online service" or somesuch.

7. ummm yes, you can see her breasts ... just keep clicking. although, i imagine that if she was at TRL, she is definitely not legal.

11. When you send this in for service will they replace it with a standard white xbox?

Posted at 5:28PM on Jul 25th 2007 by Mark

12. At $2000, does she come with it too?

Kidding of course...

But man it would be awful if that console RROD'd on you...in fact its almost guaranteed that it will. If you sent it in for service, will you get the same 360 back? Brutal. For that reason alone I'd never pay extra money for it. Imagine trying to tell the guy on the other end of the line in India that you have a special Simpsons xbox and that you want to make sure you get the same one back. Oh man.

13. If the Simpsons 360 does get the red ring and you send it in for repair, will some support fiend keep it and send you back a refurbished 360?

16. "I stand corrected she does have some breasts. but I've seen better. they're definately not worth $2000 +"

i'm sure pedophiles pay more that that on the black market for a teen age girl. lol.

While i kinda doubt that the theater display that scottW is talking about has the same guidelines(since it's not a consumer good, but a marketing item) there's nothing to say that there isn't some small text banning resale. But the girl looks about 15, and i don't think teenagers are all that concerned about the law if they can trade yellow 360 for a large piece of their future car payment.

17. she replied saying shes in the market for an elite. Wow. If only girls gamers looked like that here. The only girl gamers (serious ones who own like xbox and ps3 etc) that I know of, are EXTREAMLY ugly and weird.

18. Maybe I'm a jerk, but I would love it if the $1,900 Simpsons 360 gets the red ring of death

19. Is it just me, or does the flap in the front hiding the USB ports look busted in some of the pictures?

20. WHY would anyone pay so much for a normal XBox 360 with a paint job?

Collectors are such stupid gits.
