UK explores Two Worlds in May

DCEmu reports that Two Worlds has been confirmed for a May 9th, 2007 release in Europe (and hopefully not long after that in the US). Developed by Reality Pump, Two Worlds is an open ended RPG much like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, providing players with a massive world to explore as they see fit. What sets Two Worlds apart from Oblivion is its multiplayer mode. Two Worlds allows for up to 8 players to join in a co-operative quest, and DCEmu reports that a Player-versus-Player arena is also available. The game features a unique spell system that lets players name their own spells. Should a player discover a new spell and name it, that spell's name will be persistent throughout the online world. In other words, if you discover a fire spell and call it "Fireball," then that name will automatically apply to all players who discover the same spell. If Two Worlds manages to be even half as good as Oblivion and do multiplayer right, it will be a serious contender when it releases in May. Now we just have to track down a US release date.

1. So if I find a spell, and name it, perhaps, "Cockblock", it'll stay that way foreever? And others will have to cast cockblock?

2. I am skeptical. Already, I’m not particularly impressed with the art style, and frankly… just because it’s an oblivion knockoff, doesn’t mean that it’s any good. Gothic 3 was a great example of this (oh wow, I get to cook my own meat!? This is MUCH better than oblivion!!!)

3. I don't think they will allow spell names they find to be offensive for shildren. I imagine then it will get edited - there can only be so many spells.

4. I think this is going to be perfect for the crowd that wants to get together and play like a table top game. without the table and the dice rollsing.

obviously you dont wanna just partner up with people all willy nilly like you would in crackdown.
In this youd probably want somone a bit more dedicated to the team effort.

Thats why I think it'll sell well oblivion knock off or not.

if one guy buys a copy he will at least get one other friend to do the same.

another thing crackdown teaches...
it doesnt matter how crappy the game is, if it does somthing extremly right, it'll sell.
and dispite being a bad game overall, the CO-OP mode can NOT be ignored.

Two worlds has the same, going for it, and atop of that, it may actually be a good game too.
