I could make a new 1 month trial and if I never logged in after the 1 month was done, it would never turn silver. So it's really not Unlimited, just a glitch.

I downloaded the Superman Returns HD movie more than two weeks ago, but can still play the movie in its entirety to this day. When you select the movie, it says "License not available". I've played it at least 10 times now just to see what happens when a "rented" movie expires, but this one just keeps on playing. Eventually I'll delete it because it's 7GB of boring movie quite frankly.

A little off topic, but I recently bought an Xbox360 and I can't figure out how to access my month trial.

to #2: yes thats true but he was logged in on the x-box live website, wouldn't that turn it back to silver?

There's always a way to beat the system. I wrote this tutorial a while ago. It was a glitch where you could actually get free 12 month xbox live gold accounts in a matter of about 10 minutes. I would still have the accounts I made and may have even transfered the subscriptions to my own account, but I got my 360 replaced. A fix for this glitch was included in an update back in May. I had used it at least 5 times. I had so many people ask me how to do it I wrote this lengthy tutorial only to find out at the end out the process that it no longer worked... lol Free 12 Month Gold Xbox Live Accounts 1. Go to the 360's Dashboard. 2. Sign off the account you are currently on by pressing "X" and then pressing "Yes, sign out" (if you're on one). 3. Press the "Join Xbox Live" button on the Xbox Live blade of the dashboard. 4. Press the "Join Xbox Live" when the window pops-up. Then press "Yes". 5. Enter the GT you desire then press "Start" or "Done". It may already be taken. It it is press "B" and come up with something else. 6. Press "No, create one." You are now going to make a fake .Net Passport. You will not need to remember any of this information later on. 7. Press "United States" (Even if you don't live in the United States you should still choose it. Some Marketplace content and events are US only). 8. Enter your Language and Birthdate (I don't think it makes a difference but make it over 18 just in case) then press "Next". 9. Enter a random E-Mail Address. (Example: [email protected]). 10. Make a Password and then enter the same password in the Confirm Password box. (6-16 Characters) 11. Choose a secret question. (It doesn't matter which one you choose) 12. Make a secret answer. (5-64 Characters) 13. Press "Next". 14. Enter a fake First and Last name (It doesn't matter what you put but there has to be something entered to continue). 15. Enter a fake phone number (It must be 10 digits long). 16. Leave the contact email alone and press "Next". 17. Press "Accept". 18. Press "Continue". 19. Scroll down and select "Xbox Live 12 mo. Gold Membership". 20. Enter a fake name (Again, it doesn't matter what you put, but something has to be there). 21. Make the Credit card type "American Express" 22. Type in this credit card number: 371281215203016. Then press "Start" or "Done". 23. Change the expiration date to "06/2007" 24. Press "Next". 25. Enter a fake address. It doesn't matter what you enter but the ZIP Code must match the state. I have an example of a fake address below (The ZIP Code and state provided in the example match so you may use those). Address 1: 2343 E. Fake Dr. City: Fakesville State: Arizona ZIP Code: 85257 26. Choose your desired Gamer Picture. 27. Choose your desired Gamer Zone. 28. Press "Yes" or "No" (It doesn't matter). 29. Press "Yes" or "No" (It doesn't matter either). 30. Press "Confirm Purchase". 31. It will load about half way and then it will give you and error message. (Don't worry! It's supposed to do that.) 32. Press "OK". 33. Scroll down to the credit card number and press "A" to edit it. 34. Press "X" to erase the credit card number. 35. Press "Start" or "Done". 36. Press "B". 37. FUCK!!!!!!!!!!! Microsoft fixed it!!!!!! NOOOO!!!! I made this long ass tutorial for nothing!!!!!!!

#4 It's not actually a physical thing. When you're creating your tag by choosing the "Join Xbox Live" on your 360, near the end it'll ask if you want SIlver or pay for Gold. Choose Silver and then it'll give you 1 month free.
1-18-2007 @ 2:10AM
Think he'll be a silver member tomorrow?
1-18-2007 @ 3:18AM
iv had Xbox live since day 1, and so has my friend, and we only payed for the first 12 months and we still have it till this day even stayed Gold when i recoverd my account to when i got a 360. how? my credit card expired..... they i got a cupple of messages on my htmail account saying to fix it. so i removed the credit card that was linked to my gamertag n hotmail account. and thats it..... never heard from them again lol WOO FREE LIVE!
1-18-2007 @ 8:32AM
This has happened to me before. I thought I had a free pass until I logged into Live again and it reset itself. Once he logs back into Live he will go back to Silver. Move along nothing to see here.
1-18-2007 @ 9:01AM
Also, to those who let their CCs expire and continue to use the service without paying the fee: MS is completely entitled to send your information to a collections agency to collect their money. And we all know how bad collections agencies are for your credit report.
1-18-2007 @ 12:18PM
@RogueStorm Does that work for all movies? so what you did was download the movie, wait till the trail ended, then tried playing it and you could watch it as many times as you wanted? or what?
1-18-2007 @ 5:06PM
Good to see that his favourite Xbox site is Xboxic :)
1-18-2007 @ 8:59PM
He did this easy. Its not unlimited free 1 month. After he activated his one month he activated his 12 month card. Once you enter than it will still say the first thing your got as your live account. Nothing special.

@#7 I think my problem is that the first week of having my 360 I didn't have a cable long enough to hook it up online. So in that week I made a gamertag through xbox.com. Once I did the the system hooked up online I did the recover gamertag thing on my 360 but there was no free gold trial. I suppose if I create another xbox live account from the 360 as you said it would give me the free month but then I'd have my achievements going to that account instead of my main one. If there's no easy fix for my predicament then I guess I'll have to just do that.
1-21-2007 @ 3:22PM
My Live membership ended in December last year, and I got emails telling me they were trying to charge my card but it was out of date (which it was!) . I forgot about it until last night when my live account booted me off and asked to me to suscribe again, so I think it's just MS giving the gamers a lttle bit of lee- way on renewing the membership, I guess some people have to wait till the end of the month to get paid to pay their subs, so MS are not punishing them by kicking them off immediatly....whereas Sony would probably come round and rape your dog for payment!
