Xboxygen posted some new screenshots and video of upcoming Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. Ubisoft's sequel looks to be coming along just fine with some rocking explosive effects and nifty camera shots. Check out more screenshots and video (especially video 3 and 4) after the jump.
From the looks of things, do you think GRAW 2 is shaping up to be better than the original, being more than a simple rehash of the GRAW? Speak your mind, but please leave your SA-80s at the door.

You had me at "coming along just fine"...
Honestly, I would be happy if it was just GRAW with more maps and a multiplayer that looked more like the singleplayer mode. (they are keeping the co-op campaign, right?)
Everything else is just going to be icing on the cake, but looking at the new videos I think we might be able to have our cake and eat it too.

Oh it's coming along alright! It looks gorgeous, as the original did, but those explosions, phew whee! IGN got a little hands on experience with it, I blogged about it. They kept mentioning the explosions, but also, you can control your AI allies Full Spectrum Warrior style through their perspective, which is awesome. Did I mention the explosions!?

Hrmm...Well if it's $60, then hell no. If it's $30, maybe. Man I'd expect 4 Man Co-op play by now a la Gears Style. I know the original had Co-op but it was the "dumb" down MP version. I wan't co-op play in the original storyline (Kinda like Vegas?). And I hope the MP portion is not a dumbed down graphic version sans the covering system.

Co-op is a must and $60 is way to high for me. I'll by a copy off ebay or half.

GRAW 1 was great and it looks like their taking the approach of keeping the overall gameplay intact but adding new control schemes, new vehicles/bots, and AMAZING particle effect. Those explosions are thuderous and visually stunning, even if they are simply canned animations triggered as you play. Seeing this kind of stuff happen in real time would be great, but even consoles like the 360 have a tough time with that.

With the way everyone at the 'Stiq dumped on GRAW during their year in review you'd think everyone forget this was the first 'A' title for the 360 confirming to many why they bought the system (or why they were going to). Great title and the first game I bought ... deserves a sequel. Here's hoping the Ubi train doesn't derail and we don't get a slip up in the series akin to the R6 series and Lockdown. Ugh.

Loved the first game. My first purchase for the 360. Not really impressed with the visuals and vids of this 2nd one though. Looks exactly the same to me. I predict it'll score an average of 78% when it's released. I'll probably wait until it's going cheap before I purchase.

Doesn't look any different than the first GRAW. If it doesn't have great graphics in multiplayer I will not be picking this up. It also better use the cover system in multiplayer.
