1. "Ana Ng" by They Might Be Giants. Plenty of guitar riffs there.

2. Orion, Astronomy, Nothing Else Matters, etc.

I vote for a Metallica Download Pack on Xbox Live.

3. More metal, metal never hurts and it's freaking awesome. Maybe some dream theater for the crazy or filter(I know thats not metal) or deftones or Nevermore. But they definatly need some deftones. Or steve vai, haha that would be funny. How bout some steel dragon. lol

5. What the hell is My Chemichal Romance doing in there? Thought the thing about Guitar Hero was rock not emo. Where is Led Zeppelin I ask?

6. The Darkness, what the heck, they can put them in Karaoke Revolution, but not in this? What about Queen? Soundgarden? 311? eh, I'm just throwing names out there, just put Darkness in, I'll be happy.

7. I want to hear:
I'm a Barbie Girl - Oasis
I want it that way - Backstreet Boys
Bringing Gay Back - Justin Timbergay

I mean, I really want to hear:
Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple
Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult
Momma I'm Comin' Home - Ozzy
Long Train Runnin' - The Doobie Brothers
For Those About to Rock - ACDC

Let's rock out. Ahh!

8. Have you heard My Chem's latest CD? I don't really classify that as EMO, in my opinion it one of the better rock albums of the year. It's definitly not METAL, but its a lot better than most of the tired B.S. that is getting put out by most bands these days.

How about adding some TOOL to the lineup for GH? Could you imagine playing "Ticks and Leeches?" Now that would be awesome!

9. Is Dragonforce asking for too much?

14. gunner, Smoke On The Water is in the original Guitar Hero. It's rumored that some of the first downloadable tracks will be the GH1 set, so you might get your wish right there.

If Maiden's The Trooper is actually in there, that's phenomenal, what a great track for GH! This is shaping up to be everything I've wanted and more, so I really, really hope that this is all true. Then it will have been worth the wait, and I can trade in the PS2 I bought specifically to play GH.

Harmonix rocks so hard. Now, if they can just produce a sequel to Amplitude... But I guess GH will do.

15. @1
I agree with you. I would love to see a track from TMBG, and Ana Ng would be a great one for it.
Oddly enough, my name is also Jonah.

16. The songs in the game are excellent and already fun, but I would still kill for some Metallica. I would love to play that in the middle of a store.

17. I'll second "Don't Fear the Reaper".

How about some Weezer? "Say it Ain't So" could qualify for the Opening Licks section, but there are a ton of Weezer tunes I'd be psyched to play. I also wouldn't mind a REAL Van Halen tune - "Hot For Teacher" would work for me.

18. "Big Bottom" by Spinal Tap. "Tonight I Wanna Rock Ya" is not enough.

19. The world is about to end... Emo has made it into Guitar Hero.

20. @15. "Boss of Me" is another They Might Be Giants song with a boatload of guitar riffs, and more recognizable to the general public as the theme to "Malcolm in the Middle"

More song with great guitar riffs:

"Space Oddity", "Rebel Rebel", and "Fame" by David Bowie. (They already have "Ziggy Stardust" on GH1)

"Burning Down the House" by Talking Heads. Refresh my memory - is "Psycho Killer" on GH2?

"Working Girl" by Members.

"The Times, They Are A-Changin'" by either Bob Dylan or Simon & Garfunkel. Show some acoustic love!

"The Hero" by Queen (from "Flash Gordon"). Also from Queen: "Another One Bites the Dust" is perfect, as well as "Fat Bottomed Girls", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Now I'm Here", "Seven Seas of Rhye", "Under Pressure", "Hammer to Fall", "Friends Will be Friends", "Princes of the Universe"... they could do a whole Queen Pack, really...

"You May Be Right" by Billy Joel.

"Thank You (For Lettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" by Sly Stone....

Coming - going to check my whole Omigod! 7-disc 1980's song pack. ;)
