Dutch gaming site, Xboxworld, is reporting that Ubisoft has delayed the launches of both Assassin's Creed and Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, pushing them into late 2007, possibly next Christmas. This information was contained in Ubisoft's quarterly earnings report, along with the announcement of a sequel to the massively popular Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. There is some more good news here, too. GRAW 2 is apparently set to release in the first half of 2007. The delay of Assassin's Creed is upsetting to be sure, but GRAW 2 makes a damned fine replacement. Still, we're very excited to see Assassin's Creed and we hope that it comes out sooner rather than later.

Sigh..... I will wait. A longer wait tends to lead to a better game.

I guess in a way my pocketbook thanks them for the delay. It was just complaining about how there are too many damn good games coming out around the same time in the spring. My pocketbook was trying to figure out how to foot the bill at $59 a pop. But now it is confident that all will be well.

Ah too bad for AC. Looks like a geat game. I don't really care about Graw 2. GRAW is an awesome game but knowing how ubi works, GRAW 2 will be more of an expansion than a new game. Since GRAW was a huge success they will release sequels and suck the juice out of this franchise until the game gets bad reviews, just like they did with Prince of Persia.

Assassin's Creed seemed to be one of those "whenit's done" kind of titles. I'm not suprised it's not making a spring release, by which point Ubi figures why not push it all the way to fall 2007.
