As if your bank account wasn't already feeling the pinch with a bunch of high profile games making their release this holiday, why not spend some extra cash on a $149 uber limited edition of Dead Space? Seriously, why not?
The Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition and its hefty $149 price tag is now exclusively available for pre-order at the EA Store. This rare edition (only 1,000 are being produced) will include a copy of Dead Space, special packaging, bonus content, the animated "Downfall" DVD, lithograph artwork, an art book, graphic novel and an actual Ishimura crew patch. Overall, it isn't that bad of a package, but its pricing makes the Gears 2 Lancer bundle look like a steal.

yeah, that's asking alot for a new franchise.
maybe if this were to have a sequel, but will people even care about the extra content when this is the first in a new IP?

I am one of the few people who buys limited editions when I deem its worthy. I pre-ordered the Limited Edition for Fable-2 AoCLE, PrinceofPersia also.
That being said I think this package is not worth it. No doubt this package is good but 150$. naah!!

I'm a consumer whore. I've ordered this. Who says money can't buy happiness?
Assassin's Creed has been the ONLY LE I've ever ordered and regretted.

For some reason this game does not impress me at all. It would be interesting if anyone actually paid much attention to it if it wasn't for the fact its about gore and not so much story, or that other regions are censoring it or out right probably banning it.
There is a point of passing a line where it just gets stupid with these games. Come on, lets have one decent FPS game that is original and does not try to save itself with the use of the gore factor.

With all the time and effort it takes for special features, bonus discs, etc, shouldn't developers put that energy into more levels, story, and polished gameplay? Then all gamers win.

SOLD! I look at it this way: It comes with the DVD I'd buy separately anyway, the art book, a graphic novel I'm guessing will also be sold separately, and another DVD. If you add these up plus the cost of the game itself, it comes out about right. Not to mention having a limited run item is cool. I'll let you know how it is.
If this doesn't come with the scorpion rig though, I'm gonna fucking kill someone.

i guess it's worth it to a fan. but like i said before, does this game even have a fan base yet? has it been proven to be an instant classic..or even a solid game? i just don't see the logic in this expensive collector's edition yet.
