As you know, a demo for Clive Barker's Jericho hit Xbox Live Marketplace this morning. Unlike our compatriots at Joystiq, we did not have a chance to test the game at E3, so this was a fresh experience for us. It's clear that the folks at Codemasters really want players to like Jericho, as the demo comes loaded with a very lengthy video explaining the premise and gameplay features of the title. You learn about the character switching dynamic as well as the abilities of the seven squad members. Unfortunately, you only get to utilize three of these squad members during the demo, but we still got a decent idea of how the full game should play.
Jericho demo scared up on XBLM
The demo for Cliver Barker's Jericho is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace. The game centers around a sort of paranormal SWAT team called in to fight the evils of the world. Of course, by evils we mean the otherworldly kind. Each member of the squad has a different weapon set and paranormal specialty like telekinesis or the ability to summon fire. By switching between the various squad members, players can combine their abilities to make the best of any given situation. We'd tell you once again that Joystiq was impressed with the game at E3, but now you can try it out for yourself. Ain't Xbox Live grand?

Joystiq takes a look at Clive Barker's Jericho
So, what was the best game at E3 that you haven't heard anything about? According to Joystiq, it might be Clive Barker's Jericho. Apart from featuring gobs of ghastly ghoulies, Jericho also looks to be sporting some very solid gameplay. The primary gameplay element revolves around the character switching dynamic, which gives players a multitude of skills and abilities spread across six different squad members. If the idea of blasting monstrous baddies with mind-controlled bullets sounds exciting. Hit the "read" link to check out Joystiq's in depth preview. Jericho gets a cover, but still missing a face
Clive Barker's Jericho will be coming to the 360 later this year and now we know what box to look for when it comes out. Today, Codemasters released the box art for Jericho (which is suspensefully posted after the break) and it's just as creepy looking as the game. Which, after watching the video and looking through those screenshots, looks pretty fun and twisted. We're definitely optimistic about the potential Jericho has, but we've got our bad game shield raised and ready to defend. Anyway, there is box art awaiting your presence after the break.

Video Marketplace top ten TV and Movies (3/12)
In light of the recent announcement of Video Marketplace being hot on the heels of digital distribution of on demand content, Major Nelson posted up the top ten lists for TVs and Movies for the last week rather than announcing the new content. On the TV side, we have South Park, naturally on top, with UFC Fights, Star Trek Enterprise, and Jericho's HD content making the grade, and even the un-aired Mercy Reef/Aquaman pilot got on the list, after being released on the 12th. For films, We have The Departed and Snakes on a Plane in the top two, albeit in 480p. Crank, Saw III and The Illusionist also got proper recognition. Clive Barker's Jericho looks promising
It's been some time since we heard anything new about Clive Barker's Jericho. In fact, the last thing we heard was the announcement of the game itself. It seems 1UP thought the same thing and has uncovered both a new trailer and posted a preview for the game. So, what's Jericho all about? What we already knew is that it's about a special government squad called Jericho Team that specializes in dealing with paranormal threats.
A Jericho trailer for Halloween
Scant hours ago, we found some shots of Clive Barker's Jericho. Now we just dug up a teaser trailer on GameTrailers. Full of TV "white noise" effects -- it's the new bullet time -- the trailer is sure to scratch that horror itch. Granted, there's not really any gameplay, but it conveys the mood quite well. Jericho screens to give you nightmares
Just in time for Halloween, Planet Xbox 360 has a few new shots of Clive Barker's Jericho. A squad-based horror-themed FPS developed by Codemasters, Jericho offers players "an overload of sensory horror shock." Looking at these shots of bloody, grisly, congealed, nasty monsters, we'd be hard-pressed to disagree. The game focuses on a special squad -- named "Jericho Team," of course -- that serves the government in regulating paranormal threats. Boy, that sounds familiar. An interesting twist is that each squad member has a different arcane specialty (clairvoyance, alchemy, etc.) We hope one of them is a firestarter. We don't know much more about the game at this point, but at least the screens look nice. Any Clive Barker fans out there hoping Jericho will keep them up at night?
