Lionhead forum users complain of Fable II freezing issues

According to forum posters on the official Lionhead forums, Fable II is experiencing issues and constantly locks up. The majority of the comments point to the game experiencing issues when attempting to load a save game file although some claim to have issues even loading the game for the first time. While we cannot say if the problem is widespread, we wonder if the recently released online co-op patch may have something to do with it considering we did not have any issues pre-patch. Of course any speculation now would be ... well, just that ... speculation. We are currently awaiting an official comment from Microsoft or Lionhead regarding the situation. Of course we must ask, have you experienced issues with Fable II freezing?

I've had a couple problems with freezing... in one case while doing the mission in the spire the cullis gate in order to exit the commandant's room never appeared for me. I then started a new game which had no problems...until recently... I'm on the mission where you have to clear a cave of Hoobes for a cross-dressing villager named Tommy...after clearing the cave you have to go to the entrance and meet with him...every time I enter the scene the dialogue goes inaudible and then the game freezes...I am extremely upset by this and wondering what I should do!!

i got to the point were you have to fight the comidor and mine froze up...tried three different games same problem

yeah I work hard for little money and spend it on a game that I was not sure to buy because the first one was so shot....great job...this one is even shorter because now I can't do anything because everytime I load the game it freezes up harder than your mom makes me, I even saw the RRoD but shut it off and turned it back on and it started but froze again over and over if this is how $h!T gets done around microsoft and miions head and I can't play this game in full over and over then my next computer will be a Mac (and soon) and I will buy a ps3 (that i'll never play but can watch blu ray on) and fable and microsoft can lick m y @$$!! No I won't even give them that privledge! I'm gonna go put my xbox and games up for grabs on ebay if I can't get this $h!T working

Well we have a brand new xbox 360, arrived yesterday with fable 2 - and so far the game has frozen 4 times and we're not connected to live or downloaded anything

My xbox 360 is not even a year old, and fable 2 screws it over.
Now, my xbox shuts off after about 10 or 20 minutes of playing any game that I put in there.
Sometimes it will just shutoff, sometimes it shows the 2 red lights; and my 360 is cold!

Grrrr, this realllllly pissed me off, because I love fable 2!!!
I heard about the brand-new models of the 360 are doing okay with games like fable2, but I dunno.
I have a service plan with bestbuy, maybe they'll give me a new xbox! =D

I'm one of the unfortunate people afflicted by the lockups. Load up my save, black screen and locked up system. That's it. Hopefully they release a patch soon. :)
