Max Payne trailer seems familiar, looks awesome

There has never been a movie based on a videogame that wasn't ... oh what's the word... non-ass. Sure, game-based films are always entertaining but that's always for the wrong reasons. After watching the new Max Payne trailer, titled Angels & Demons, we're starting to get hopeful for the flick. Taking the story from both Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne the film look promising but like a short guy at a urinal, we're going to stay on our toes. Just in case.

Case of Deja-Vu alright. Sin City fans I think will enjoy this. Kind of makes you hope they come out with a new game in glorious HD.

There was one video game movie that was 'non-ass'... that is Hitman!

This looks good, ashame I hate Marky Mark so much.

As a big fan of the hitman games, I have to disagree... that movie was complete ass. As a big fan of good films I also have to disagree, that movie was generic shit.

That naked gun reference feels as forced as Max's voice in that trailer.

Not really too excited about this film.

The voice doesn't quite sell me on it... The pacing and everything is right, it's the lack of grit in the voice that bothers me. I hope it works out, the games were pretty good.

I was going to say the same thing; the voice is all wrong! It was important to the games, because Max Payne was also the narrator. Still, I really hope the movie turns out good.

I agree, the voice is all wrong... but Wahlberg definitely looks the part, for this role. I don't think you could have found an old / tortured enough voice in a young / fit enough body. Wahlberg it is.

What? This doesn't just look bad, this looks Batman and Robin bad. The graphics are stylish and it's well edited but the rest.... if you're not laughing at 1:34 there's something wrong with you.

It seems odd that a few months ago Marky Mark made a statement to the press that he wouldn't do a video game movie because he didn't have time for "background research."

*facepalm* Eh, sorry. I reread the article from July and it's obvious that he admitted to starring in the movie, but refused to play the game to research the background for the movie due to an "addictive personality."

In this trailer Wahlberg looks like his brother playing Detective Mathews in Saw 2.

And the tune in this trailer was a good choice, MM's If I Was Your Vampire. Though I think they should try and get the theme tune from the game into the movie, it was really good.
