Best Buy's midnight Rock Band release

A few hand selected Best Buy stores in the US will be opening up their doors early AM next Tuesday for the launch of a little game called Rock Band. Best Buy is encouraging gamers to line up (we guess they were right) late Monday evening at participating stores for all the Rock Band launch fun and festivities. And even if you're not keen to purchasing the game you may still want to make the trip, because watching gamers try and get the massively large Rock Band box into their two-door coupe will be hilariously entertaining. And don't forget your camera.

I was pretty ticked at the Best Buy's midnight Halo launch, they had two lines, one for pre-order, one for non-preorder and they let them in at the same time.

IMO all pre-orders should be served prior to non-preordering customers. I had to wait for like an hour while non-preordering people got the game way before me. I felt like such a chump.

The Rock Band box isn't so big. I work at UPS and one night unloading an airplane i noticed just which boxes i was handling and took a picture to show my friends

Its the box measuring in at like 3 feet long, and a foot high or so. Only weighed maybe 30 pounds(on the box i think) which isn't too heavy

I don't understand this pre-order stuff. Do some of you guys live in small towns where there's only one place selling video games?

Maybe b/c I live in LA that stock in plentiful. If you miss it at Best Buy or Gamestop on opening day there's always Target.

I would be there!!! except I already have it ordered from Amazon. Amazon is now saying that they are not going to be able to meet demand on launch day and it might be mid-december before they are able to fulfill all orders.

So it does seem that they might be in short supply before Christmas.

This game is going to be great!

Thank you Best Buy for allowing me to get Mass Effect a couple of hours earlier...because they both come out next week! Also much appreciation for the pilgrims and the whole thanksgiving break thing.
