Speaking to Next Gen, Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg laid down some lofty goals for our favorite console. While most of the interview focuses on Microsoft's new family friendly initiative, Greenberg notes that he expects the console to have a very impressive holiday, saying that the Xbox 360 will have several top selling games. "Just this one holiday we anticipate that we'll have at least seven titles that will each sell over a million units each," said Greenberg. Seven million-sellers? That's a bold prediction to be sure. While he doesn't elaborate on which games will get the honor, we'll venture a few guesses. CSI: Hard Evidence got a bit of a rough start, (being released on Sept 25 under the shadow of a giant), but I really think it will pick up momentum to hit that 1 million mark by Wintereenmas.

I think that's a bit of an overestimate, but of course it is, he works for Microsoft, so they they always inflate how much success they believe they'll get. I have no doubt this holiday season the 360 will dominate, given the dearth of Wii and PS3 big titles. I don't know about 7 million tho, I'm guessing closer to 5, anywhere from 4.5-5 million units is my prediction.

I'm pretty sure Scene It will sell close to what Halo 3 did during the first couple of weeks. 3.3 million doesn't seem too out of reach for a game of such high calibre.

Martin, I fancy myself a bit of a grammar nerd, and I beg to differ. A game that sells a million units is called a "million-seller", hyphenated thus. If you were speaking of the game as a member of a group, you could call it "one million-seller", also written "1 million-seller". If you speak of more than one million-seller, it would be two or three million-sellers, not two- or three-million sellers. I'm not 100% positive, but I believe you have your hyphens backwards (and that the OP has theirs right).
If you meant to say that there will be at least one "7-million seller", e.g. a game that sells 7 million copies, your syntax would be correct. I don't think that was the point, though.

I agree with #9, at least with the Rock Band part of it. I know too many people who are obsessed with Guitar Hero and will spend anything for a new version. Those people haven't heard of Rock Band and probably don't care.
With all these good games coming out this year it makes me wonder what's coming out next year.

Oh damn, wait you're right. Sorry...For some reason it just didn't look right in the title. Yeah the hyphen would pair together the two words so that million and seller would be one noun. Okay I think I might've read that wrong too.

Probables: NFS Pro Street (The other 2 360 versions have broken 1 million), Orange Box (350K in first week), Assassin's Creed (depends on the reviews), Rock Band (depends upon supply)
Late summer releases he may be including: Bioshock & Madden 08
Sleepers: Lego Star Wars complete saga (LSW2 sold 660K for 360 and this is only $50), FIFA 08 (320K sold worldwide for 360 so far)
