If you're one of the sixteen people who own an Xbox 360 and didn't purchase Halo 3 then here's your chance to make up for your lack of Halo 3 launch day purchasing and pick up the Legendary Edition for the cheap. Amazon.com's Deal of the Day is none other than the cat helmet edition otherwise known as the Halo 3 Legendary Edition for $109, which is $20 off the retail price. And since the Legendary Edition is supposedly uber limited and uber wanted, we're not how long Amazon.com will have these bad boys in stock. But then again, if they were so limited and nearly sold out then why are they on sale? Hmm, potato, potatoe go get your Legendary Edition and officially take your name off the none Halo 3 owners list. You'll be glad you did.[Thanks, Phillip]

There's literally tons of these on eBay for pretty cheap too, if people want to go that route.

I saw a listing for this online for $101 shipped via DeepDiscount.com. I got mines already, and I think it's great.

The reason these are up for the deal of the day is more than likely canceled orders.
I had pre-ordered mine from Amazon back in July and they claimed it would ship on the 25th and arrive on the 26th. Right up until the end of the day on the 25th they still did not change anything on their site for my order so I emailed them and got some long BS email saying they were back ordered, contrary to what my order status said on their site. I am sure I am not the only person this happened to and now they are stuck with all the canceled orders. Screw Amazon.

FYI, a cat can not actually wear that helmet.
anyone jury-rig a way to use the helmet as a hallowe'en costume yet?

lol, guess everyone bought the legendary just to Ebay it.
too bad, i'm perfectly happy with my LE, with a unscathed bonus disc, and perfect game disc.
But if i had this option at launch.... i may have gone for the legendary.
but it still is $40 more for the helmet.
The key to getting the helmet on cats: Catnip and crisco.

My Local BestBuy had about 12 stacked out next to newer Halo 3 edition consoles, Elites, and the new forza/MUA bundle which doesn't show the lot numbers on them. They don't seem to be very limited.

Well I have two Legendaries, one on display, and the other one snuggled away in its box. Does this make me a double fanboy, or just double loser.
