In what could be considered the weirdest game announcement ever, Joystiq has discovered that there is a
Gun sequel poster hidden inside the newly available
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground demo. The poster, as seen in the screenshot above, depicts what looks to be a
Gun sequel called
Gun: Magruder's Ghost featuring the cliche tag line "Even from beyond the grave". So, we're left wondering if this is a real
Gun sequel announcement or if those artists over at Activision like messing with our heads and find it to be a funny easter egg joke. We find it a little odd but plausible that
Gun: Magruder's Ghost would be announced this way, so we'll leave it up to you to make the call to what this all means.
And if you're one of those fanboys who doesn't believe picture evidence, instead needing to experience it for yourself, then this is how you find the poster. Simply fire up your newly downloaded
THPG demo, head down the beginning hill until you spot a large staircase on your left. You'll be able to see the poster on top of said staircase.

This demo is garbage. I dont like the new balance meters, cant tell when you are a sliver away from falling. The new NTT arent that good. Skater moves 50MPH after one push. Ill be getting skate., was thinking of getting THPG too, but not after i played the demo. Same thing we seen on PS2 versions in the past.

Yeah, I'll join the F-Bomb party, too. Gun was fucking fantastic, and it NEEDS a sequel. Thomas Jane for the win - too bad they killed off Ron Perlman already.

I'am a die hard Tony Hawk fan but THPG is a real step backwards. Demo was mediocre at best, graphics didn't match up to previous P8, the board clips into the environment ie. tailslide your board is inside the ledge. Demo really isn't polished (I hope). P8 wasn't didn't have the extreme arcade feel that this Proving grounds has now. Aggro kick c'mon! are you serious going 50 mph to gap a roof!
IGN (ugh) said it best "What we mustn't forget here is that THPG is no longer a game only to be compared with its own previous installment." However they said this is an improvement from P8...ahh no
Only thing that would want me to purchase this game is fact you can skate LOVE park and Freedom's Plaza DC.
