If you remember a while back, Infinity Ward wanted to include the Call of Duty community in on the process of choosing a the box art for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, giving fans five different art samples and asking for their opinion. And last night, after gathering all the feedback and tweaking the designs, Infinity Ward ended up with the final design you see to the right. The winning design is based off of the "Charlie" concept (which was the best) blended with a touch of "Echo" for good measure. It's pretty isn't it?A higher res picture of the final artwork can be found right here, so go analyze it, take it all in and pour over every colorful pixel, because from now on this community chosen CoD 4 box art will be referred to as the "Charlie hawtness". Go Charlie hawtness, go!
[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]

It's rated M? I wonder whether it was the modern-day setting that bumped it from a T.

I wouldnt be suprised, considering the setting, terrorists etc. Plus it looks a little more gritty and generally 'hardcore' than the previous ones, i cant wait. I wish they would hurry up and announce the beta date for the UK.

guys without a doubt, this beta is absolutely fantastic. it plays just like call of duty 2, except you have a run button and some other REALLY nice features to tweak your character,

So the CoD4 box art looks sweet, Bungie...how about changing the box art for Halo 3. The current one looks boring compared to the other ones they showed as possibilities.

Yeah the beta is fantastic, you level up a little too quick though and the controls are a little stiff, somewhat like you'd see in a Medal of Honor game but I'm sure they'll work all that out. The amount of things you can do is crazy, you have to many buttons to press really. Considering you have the little action climb like in COD2, you can jup, melee with combat knife, call for air support/radar, sprint, crouch/prone, reload, night vision, scope in, special grenade and frag grenades. I seriously doubt every person will use all the options on each class/kit in a game, you'll have to stick to one half or the other beause the fighting is really frantic and intense, not much time to make those types of decisions and changes, better know before you get into the fight.
Something of note is one of the perks that allows you to shoot through many walls, great when you have an enemy that fled behind some dry wall, wood, etc.
On topic: I don't really care for the box art that much, the game seems better than the box art they have representing it. It's to generic. Though, I do suppose it somewhat captures the feel of the game.
