First we were
promised it on August 15th, then we were told about its
delay, but now EA is now ready to commit to a new release date for the somewhat highly anticipated
Skate demo. Confirmed to be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace next Tuesday, August 21st is the once (hopefully not twice) delayed
Skate demo for everyone to download and enjoy. So skater gamers, get your download fingers ready for Tuesday when you'll get to experience EA's version of Tony Hawk skating fun and solidify your opinion of which skating game purchase you'll be making this year.

Skate. is anticipated? I'm pretty sure it's not... Say what you want about Tony Hawk, but at least it's not excruciatingly boring like Skate. is looking to be.

Sweet, i cant wait for this demo and game to come out. Ive bought every tony hawk game since the first, and this year i honestly have been giving THPG 10% intrest and Skate 100% intrest. It looks so good, with the controls. Finally a realistic skate game.

@ 3: Ok? I`m waiting for this one... Maybe you are one of them arcade gamers, just waiting for a shooter/arcade sporting game. I`m waiting for a realistic skate game - skate. that is.

This demo is going to decide if I am buying this game or not. I'm on the fence right now, but I'll balance my decision on the demo.

This game, imo, is HIGHLY anticipated by any tony hawk fans or skateboarders... I mean look at the companies sponsoring this game: enjoy, almost, volcom, baker, emerica, independant, dc, and real. These are all huge names in skateboarding. Real skaters know tony hawk is in that cheap family fun all pads skateboarding crap, especially his game where anyone can score million point combos across the maps. Finally a realistic game with skateboarders who don't compete in every x games. I've prayed for a game like this since tony hawk underground 2 maybe even earlier when the physics engine became ridiculous. I expected project 8 to be more realistic, and it was, in the feel of it. The tricks popped and the grabs grabbed, but soaring 40 feet off a 5 foot quarter and doing a backflip double kickflip 540 is pretty bs. Yeah.

I think this is highly anticipated, especially the outcry when the demo was delayed. I have played the game during a community day visit and IT IS beyond sick. There's no reason to bash Tony Hawk, since it is a successful franchise, but people will be very pleased with Skate. The gaming is realistic and not a carnival experience. You won't score points for throwing tomatos at people in the game. And please save your negative comments until you've played the game, since you have nothing to truly base it on. Play the demo on Tuesday and THEN feel free to post your feelings, otherwise it's baseless opinion. Just my $.02.

finally! i'm def keeping my fingers crossed against another delay. as other people have said, tony hawks is now getting very tedious and a bit rediculous, especially how its trying to sell itself as a more realistic game when it so obviously isnt, 'nail the trick' was a very small step in the right direction but i think Skate is just going to run TH into the ground

yeah, I love the tony hawk games, i'm playing project 8 right now on 360, but i've watched videos for 'skate' and videos for 'proving ground' and I'd have to agree that 'skate' is gonna own. i love skating and the closest video game to represent the feeling of actually skateboarding is 'skate'.
