New Small Arms characters revealed

Gamertag Radio breaks the news that new content is on the way for the Xbox Live Arcade.title Small Arms from Gastronaut Studios. X3F readers may recall that we have something of a soft spot for the game, so new content is great news. In addition to the new content, an update will also be released that should address several bugs in the game (and some weapon balancing, we hope). The new content pack will include 2 new characters and 2 new maps. We don't know about the maps yet, but the new characters have been revealed. Above you can see Ivar the tiger. Check out Gullarp the elephant after the break.

No price or date have been set for the new content. Anyone out there ready to fire up Small Arms once again?

1. It looks like these characters don't have new weapons so if they cost points I won't be picking them up. I might get the maps if they are priced low

2. I'd get it if it was free. I don't really play the game all that much as I don't like it as much as I thought I would by playing the demo. Kinda makes me wish I could get my 800 points back... but oh well!

3. Now, if only they released a patch that made the game enjoyable.

4. I'm really looking forward to this. Hopefully the Achievement glitch will be fixed, too. By the way, Gastronaut stated in their interview with Major Nelson a while back that this content would be free (assuming I've remembered correctly.)

5. Haven't played this in a while, really do hope everything here is free.

6. yeah, maybe if this was the "make the game not suck patch" i would go for it. this was a pretty big let down, now i play the demo before i buy anything on XBL. Thanks Gastronaut studios!

7. Free free free?!?!?

8. Gullarp looks like he's giving the finger to us.

It's nice to see we'll be getting new characters and stages...I'm kind of hoping for new weapons, though. (Since the ones those two have don't look new) It seems kind of weak to have all these guys with unique weapons and everything, and then see new characters come bringing nothing new.

9. This would be cool. A good reason to fire up this game again. I need that last achievement.

10. New weapons would have been good, I'll get it if its free but thats about it, if its even 100 points I wouldn't download it. Sorry but does anybody else feel like this patch has been WAY too long in the making? Its been how long out now? nearly a year?

11. Yep, the patch is quite late ...
