jayWhy, synide and maybe a couple of the others are actually beta testers from Shadowrun too, whom I played with a fair bit.

I think since this is a beta, these guys are technically doing there job. Finding bugs, glitchs, and exploits.
5-17-2007 @ 11:47AM
That is insane, they are doing their job tho, pretty cool places that they found either way
5-17-2007 @ 11:57AM
That's pretty nifty.
5-17-2007 @ 12:03PM
That is pretty cool. I hope the exploiters do their dirty work in this test. Bungie has plenty of time to review videos like this and fix the exploits.

YOU NOOB!! thats why the levels are built. in asencion, blood gultch and many others there are places to explore and use when you can. thats just part of the game. if i didnt want that i'd play pong.

How in the hell do I change my inversion settings in the beta? Can't find it anywhere???

"How in the hell do I change my inversion settings in the beta? Can't find it anywhere???" You mean for looking around? When you're on the title screen, press start and it will bring to you a settings menu. There's control options in there.
5-17-2007 @ 12:41PM
randy: press start, then left on the directional pad at anytime. This will take you to the settings menu where you can change your controls, voice options, and appearance. This game is awesome. I like what they have done with it. They seemed to have taken the best aspects of both halo and halo 2 multiplayer and mashed them together perfectly. Plus the save feature is much cooler than i thought it would be. Last night I killed a whole team with a power drain and two grenades, and it was awesome to watch that replay and share it with my friends. Bravo Bungie. Bravo

I don't really see that as unfair because the higher jumps required a fair bit of team work so you would have to be partied up which straight away cuts a large number of possible offenders. Plus I think they'd be fairly vulnerable to snipers. I think jumps are great fun in customs and can be used tactfully to get to places quicker or to route around an opponent and there is quite a bit of community in it(ala Mr. Jukes). However I agree that getting out the maps and superjumps are unfair and hopefully any such glitches will be ironed out before the games release (even though they can be fun).
5-17-2007 @ 12:53PM
thanks found it the settings vs service tab is really hard to distinguish with the blue color and no 3D effect duh on my part game on!

Actually I don't consider anything on High Ground to be a map exploit or anything. The tree branches are solid, as they should be as far as realism goes (though no bounce, which is disappointing.. it'd be great to see the tree shaking when someone's up in there moving around)... and you're not really getting anywhere too out-of-reach. Especially with the tons of spike grenades and heavy weaponry available on the map. Valhalla and Snow Bound are a different story (though the shield on the turret was genius), these don't seem (especially with the double-jumping) that they were intended, and should be fixed.
5-17-2007 @ 1:06PM
Out of map, all they are doing is just being creative with the existing map, it's not like they are superjumping.
5-17-2007 @ 1:15PM
Yay! Find it now so they can fix it FOR when the actual game comes out! Perhaps some people need to look up the definition of BETA... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_cycle#Beta

All you guys playing the Halo Beta are like little kids that peeked at your Christmas presents and just couldn't wait. Unless ur Jewish, judge yourselves. ccc

would it be possible select the armor color that blends with the environment/tree/cliff, jump to the side of a cliff and just start sniping without being seen? (won't be playing h3 beta)

Was that Elmo singing the first song??

Sorry. . . I thought this was "Xbox 360 Fanboy". Jusging from the articles I see, I must have ended up at "Halo 3 Fanboy" instead.

& #18, isn't that the same thing?

The clip in snowbound where he throws a bubble shield on the turret so he can get outside the map was a pretty obvious but smart move!
