This lovely Spring week brings a few older movies and one new release to HD DVD, all coming from Warner studios. Hugh Jackman's The Fountain will be out tomorrow as well as 2. OK, before some fanboy jumps on me... yes, the second movie was offically called "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior". But still I'm correct that "The Road Warrior" and "Mad Max" are different films... in fact, most TV movie listings you see will only refer to the second movie as "The Road Warrior".

5. Any updates as to what the heck is wrong with all the latest Universal HD-DVD's that refuse to playback in many Xbox 360 add on players?
So far I've encountered Smokin' Aces and Children of Men that refuse to play, even though past Universal HD-DVDs played with no problem at all. What did Universal do to mess things up and will it be fixable with a downloadable update in the future?

6. All of my Universal HD DVDs play without a hitch. You should probably see about sending those two movies back in.

7. Screamscape, Universal has admitted that some of their HD-DVDs went out with problems in the coating layer which prevent them from working in some HD-DVD players. (FWIW, Children of Men works fine in my Xbox 360 HD-DVD.) Go check out The Digital Bits (www.thedigitalbits.com) for the full story on what Universal's doing about the problem.

9. Seriously Microsoft, give us a dual format HD-drive. Back up those words about consumer choice and give Sony something to freak out about.u

1. Cool, definitely picking up "The Fountain" tomorrow.
One correction: "Mad Max" is the first movie in the series. "The Road Warrior" is the second movie... there's no "also known as" here.
