According to Bizarre Creations' latest Studio News post, the BBR title update adds guitar and dance map peripheral support, an enhanced scoring system, better VGA support and an improved fireworks rendering engine. Among those additions, the update also fixes other general bugs and gameplay issues, all of which you can view after the break. Anyone up for some Boom Boom Guitar Herocket?

I really enjoyed this but kept putting off the purchase for some reason. With GHIII just round the corner (UK) there doesn't seem much point now.
Although saying that, the guitar support may help it once I get bored of rocking out on GH.
Still, nice to see Bizarre supporting it and keeping it up-to-date.

I'd dust off my copy of BBR IF it had a case which could accumulate dust...but I'll definitely fire it up tonight and give it a go with the GH guitar. Peripherals FTW!

It was a boring game with the controller, playing this with the guitar is just Guitar Hero with fireworks.

Anyone else notice that the little patch that was released prior to this one swapped out the Bizzare Creations logo with the EA one at the intial load screen?????
That's a good use of my harddrive space if I ever saw one. ;)
Also, do you actually have to strum the guitar if you're using that peripheral?

Yeah, I'm going to have to try this on my GH guitar tonight. Hopefully there is a way to correlate the firework arrows with the frets on the guitar. Otherwise it will just be confusing :/

DjDATZ: DDR universe isn't out in the UK so the dancemat support isn't much good over here. But the other additions are something :)

Can anyone tell me how much harder the songs get than "Hall of the Mountain Dude"? I was thinking about getting this, and I tried the guitar with the demo...but not if the hardest song is the equivalent of a Medium GH song.

Um, you could use the Guitar Hero controller back when BBR was released. I beat several of the songs using it before it was just a gimmick.

Just tried it with the X-plorer guitar. You really have to STRUM the "notes". Insane!

Yeah thats what I was just wondering myself.
If I can pull myself away from PuzzleQuest long enough while my 360 is powered up I'll give it a shot.

Good update, some DLC would be good too ;) Probably go after the full 200GS now - been stuck at 100 for a while.

Well, I tried it, played Smooth Operetta on medium, played it good I thought, hit 100 notes but only got 85 % accuracy. Looks to be the same old Boom Boom to me.

Yeah, same old bbr. Still impossible to get an A unless you have +90% accuracy which is very difficult on Medium. I *did* see that the note chart changes for those playing with the guitar to make it more "guitar hero" like though.

Hopefully they tweaked the score system for the better. Getting an A on Medium was nearly impossible for some songs.
