XBLA mystery: Eets is missing! [update 1]

Posted Apr 25th 2007 9:30AM by Richard Mitchell
Filed under: News, Xbox Live Arcade

Today was poised to be another double header for Xbox Live Arcade. There's only one problem you see: you can't have a double header without two games. Upon booting up the trusty Xbox this morning, Eets was nowhere to be seen. Pinball FX was there (and it's pretty decent, by the way), but Eets: Chowdown was a no show. According to comments on MajorNelson.com, the game was briefly available but failed to launch once downloaded. It looks like the game was pulled as a result. It's unfortunate because we were particularly looking forward to Eets. Now all we have is pinball. 360 fanboys am cry. We've asked for an official explanation from Microsoft, and we'll spread the word when we get a response.

Update 1: It looks like Eets is back up and ready to download (or re-download). Commence chowdown ... now!

2. i don't know any other way to get this out there other than posting it in a comment

XCM made an adapter that allows keyboard and mouse support with your 360! i'm kind of skeptical but i can still hope.

3. spamsphen,

Sorry to tell you, but the XFPS adapter pretty much sucks. We reviewed it back in December:

4. AceyBongos' Live space has official details on the Eets fiasco. It should be fixed soon. Here is the link. http://aceybongos.spaces.live.com/default.aspx?_c02_owner=1

5. It was there, but it was broken. I downloaded it and couldn't start the game... so instead I got to play the extremely tame and uninteresting Pinball FX.

6. Just left MN's site all panicky after reading the comments. I came here to send the tip in but it's been taken care of!

As long as it's fixed by about 5:30pm GMT (home from work time!) I'll be happy!!

7. How bad is the pinball then? Was looking forward to that too.

Does it compare to Pinball Dreams & Pinball Fantasies on the Amiga??

8. Doesn't matter.

360 crapped out last night while playing Crackdown.

Now, good chance, I won't be in the H3 Beta.

*Sad panda*

9. pinball's not bad
physics are good as expected
trial version only allows you to get 10,000,000 score then wont give you any new balls!
I reached that on my 2nd game on the 1st ball by putting the 'airbag' on constantly.

10. It's 9:30 in the morning here. I don't know that I'd consider it a "fiasco" yet lol... even for people on the East coast.

18. I love the pinball game! Best one I've seen in ages. The ball even bounces the way you expect a pinball to bounce. I'm very impressed! The tables look awesome, too.
